We have some easier games (yeah like we have done well in these games so far this season)to get our confidence up before Everton,Arsenal and Man City and these games will decide our placing in the league this season

I hate to be the pessimistic one but I don't know what were going to change in between what we have already seen this season and what we will need to get a run of games going so we can get back in the top 4.

I can see us finishing above Villa, but behind Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal for sure.
And to be honest I think we will struggle to finish above Spurs and City - both of whom I think have a stronger all round squad.
Gerrard, Torres and Reina are all class acts but from the overall squad perspective especially in wide positions and strength in depth up front I think we are not as strong as these 2 teams.

I reluctantly think that would leave us in 6th place at the end of the season, and after these games above maybe slightly closer to Villa but in 7th overall.

Next 10 league games (and last season's corresponding results)

Aston Villa (a) D0-0 09/10 W1-0
Tottenham (h) W3-1 09/10 W2-0
Stoke (a) D0-0 09/10 D1-1
Wolves (a) n/a
Bolton (h) W3-0
Everton (h) D1-1
Arsenal (a) D1-1
Man City (a) W3-2
Blackburn (h) W4-0
Wigan (a) D1-1

08/09 P9 W4 D5 L0 F16 A6 PTS 17 (out of 27)
09/10 P3 W2 D1 L0 F4 A1 PTS 7 (out of 9)

Good start, two points better off than in the first three of those games' corresponding fixtures last season. We really need to better our results at Wigan and at home to the bitters, and repeat the result at Citeh which would help damage their charge for fourth. The win at villa was crucial, the win against spudz equally so and that could complete a hat-trick that we need to undo damage done this season

20 points should be seen as the minimum we should get from these ten games-if we could get 24 then i would see that as good work, as i remain convinced that some of the other clubs in and around us will drop points during this time and we should be well-placed if we are consistent.
