Some think he appointment is a massive step backwards and are rightly so in their eyes angry about what has happened during this summer . The same people who thought Rafa wasn't good enough and slated him constantly are saying we shouldn't slate a manager whose record is vastly inferior to our previous manager ! And I can't believe someone said Hodgson may fulfill his potential at a big club ?! Potential ?!? He is 63 and has had two jobs at big clubs and failed both times

You're missing the point by miles.

Rafa was employed by the club and judged based on his performance. Needless to say towards the end the majority wanted rid.

Hodgson cannot be judged on a job he hasn't done yet. You cannot make out like this is the worst managerial appointment in the world, I can think of a lot worse. FFS we tolerated Souness for how long?

The realist can see that the club is in no position to attract top management, therefore we have to work with what we have got. If there is an exodus of players, it wont be Hodgsons fault. There have been rumours of Gerrard, Torres, Mascherano leaving for a long time before Rafa left.

People were spreading rumours about players wanting to leave because of Rafa ( well mainly lakes was ) . People can judge hodgson on his previous managerial roles and are well within their rights to do so and question the appointment to our club because of that track record .

So question the appointment, attack the hierarchy.

Don't abuse Hodgson though. It pathetic. You essentially abusing him for failing to win things at other clubs.

I will reiterate that my support is for the CLUB (Liverpool FC) and not the manager, whoever that may be. I will judge the manager on results, I am opposed to the appointment of Woy, but unfortunately I have no say in who is or isn't our manager.

Why do people get so wound up what other people say on the internet, as if it makes an iota of difference to what happens at the club?!?!? Like SCS stating "If Roy fails, I for one wont be a factor in his demise." as if what he says or does is likely to influence whether Roy fails or not! Sorry SCS but get over yourself, goes for a lot on here

The clue is in this.

We have sold our manager for 8 million pound.

We are hiring one for 2 million pound on a 3 year deal.

Who got the better deal liverpool or Inter Milan?
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

You personally may not have but others have.

Your comments allude to that

Why should people be nice to a person who currently has no link to our club at all ?

Benny The Noon wrote:Umm lakes that seems to go against everything you read about him - with him being stated many times he is the nice guy in football

outside of the clubs he has worked for, inside the club he has been his own man.

your tright he has not the best past but he has done better over the last few years.

being blunt about it the club is a :censored: mess, we have players at the club that should never have come here, they need to be got rid of. I fell he is the person to do it.

after doing that i am not sure what he can do with us.

dont see him getting a long contract.

Its not just about Roy. It's about the players too. What does this prospective appointment say of our ambitions as a club to the likes of Stevie or Fernando?

If be surprised if he convinces either of them to stay.

So basically you happy the previous manager is gone and that's all that matters ? So it's an anyone but Rafa attitude ? Is that not extremely short sighted ? What does hodgson have to do to bypass rafa when you consider that 5 out of six seasons we qualified for CL , does hodgson not have to at least get into the cl to save himself ?

Stevie has known Roy for a few years (no sure how) but they seem to get on. might be to do with Danny who Stevie is still very good friends with.
