Also don't forget all our top players will stay now that Rafa has gone. Yeah right!

Hodgsen is a yes man and I won't support him at all because I don't think he is the right man for the job.

why are you so sure he's only a yes man?

He's happy at fulham where he is held in high regard, he doesn't need the job. He can see the problems at Liverpool and he's not stupid. Reckon he'll negotiate his contract and I bet ya a pound to a pinch of sh!t he will NOT be just a yes man.

for fuk's sake

Come on it's obvious he hasn't been picked for the job because he can take us to the next level. He has been chosen because he isn't going to make a fuss about having no money to spend.

Maybe im being unfair but we are going backwards here and no one seems to care 1 bit. Any decent manager will not touch the job because they know they will be fighting a brick wall.

so what?

Did Rafa before getting the job? ???? ???? ??????

Rafa had a track record of winning big titles before he arrived so many people look at him as a step forward for us - totally different to hodgson

Did Rafa have any link to the club before getting the job??

Get to the point lakes

Bav Roy dont have a history of being a yes man, in fact he comes with a rep of not doing what he is told and that has not got him many friends in football.

Umm lakes that seems to go against everything you read about him - with him being stated many times he is the nice guy in football

Exactly. You didn't even need to compare or refer to something that happened 50 years ago, or indeed money or indeed what Rafa did or didn't do, whether he was or wasn't expected to etc

In my mind it's better to have someone who few know a lot about, and have no fears about his appointment as a consequence, than someone who is perceived as doing a decent job because he isn't at a big club and not because he's winning things.

It is a (sad) sign of the times that we're lowering the bar, not only expectations for this club, but what we expect from a manager we're about to appoint.

He'll get fk all from the owners so we could do with him on our side and hopefully during his reign he'll see a change of owners, for the better. In the mean time he could do with getting appointed and getting our backbone fixed at the club.

In 1959 when Shankly took over we finished 10th in Division 2 and to be honest we were average. with in 3 years we'd improved no end and the rest is history. Big things from small acorns. Not comparing the 2 managers at all but give the fella a chance.

great post   if he is the new manager support him and stop acting like spoiled brats!!

The whole point here is that the people who wanted Rafa out will be the first one's to lose faith in Roy when sh.it hits the fan.

And the people against him being appointed will support him as soon as its confirmed.

Another quick question for people - what is it about the appointment of Hodgson that makes you optimistic and excited about for the future ?

Long since been the way on here, I suggested that red card for wanting LFC to lose was akin to gestapo tactics. But these days you expect the self-righteous to try and dictate what people can and can't say on forum, even in real life you always get some silly b*tch listens to a conversation and has to have her say

You pinch yourself if you think you're dreaming, what do you do if you're having a nightmare.....................?

Can't believe LFC is considering appointing Woy  :no What next? Appointing a manager from league two, maybe Keith Hill's the man having got Rochdale promoted for only the second time in their history.

How would you know that ?

Alot of the people that wanted Rafa out gave him plenty of time.
I will give Hodgson or whoever is appointed plenty of time also.

Rafa had his chance and unfortunatly he came up short.

Roy may well do (if he coms in) but he will get my support.
