people on here need to wake up!  rafa had signed a long term contract with us and the terms were broken.  Whether people liked Rafa as a manager or not is not the issue.  As a person, i believe him.  Our target for this summer is to "control the money". 

not to appoint a top class manager and buy a couple of galacticos

Nice one and good luck to him if he defo gets the job. We need a safe manager that will steady the ship and maybe, just maybe bring back the Liverpool we used to know and love. No-one knows how Roy will do at this club, no-one.

We're about to find out though and if this time next season we've won the FA Cup and finished 3rd we'll all look back and laugh at this thread and the doom and gloom certain people are predicting.

It seems G&H are unhappy that Roy Hodgson is set to be the new Liverpool manager.
they feel his name will not help the sale of the club, there has been talk that the club is about to be sold and the managers post was to be left blank for the owners to feel themselves, this was seen as a selling point by the owners yet the board feel this would leave to much unrest with the players.

Rafa got a lot of respect before he joined and in his first season. Rafa only lost respect from poor results at Liverpool. Roy will loose respect with the same poor results. IF his results are poor.

what i am going to say Ciggy is i understand how you feel about Roy as it was the same way i felt about Rafa getting the job, I did not think he was the right person for the job and that his aim was only going to be the CL, i said that the week before he got the job.

you will find yourself in the same spot as i did, backing a manager only for the good of the team.

Give the guy a chance, not sure he will be hear long
he is a firefighter manager and will only come in to sort the players out and cut out the dead wood from the club.

once that is done there is a big chance he will be replaced by a bigger name once the club is sold.
