If we get Woy its BECAUSE we have no money. So without money theres no point even looking for a good manager because none would accept.

Bankrupt owners cant contract a 6 million a year manager for 4 years with penalty clauses for contract cancellation should the new owners want to bring their own man.

Bankrupt owners can offer a transfer kitty.

Bankrupt owners may need to sell star players so obviously the candidate will have to be a compromise character who is there to drive the bus, but not to choose the route.

Bankrupt owners cant risk having a Capello strong type of character walking the corridors then resign after 3 months when he realises the true state of the club.

Lads and lasses, the ONLY choice the club has is to bring in a deeply compromised soul, pay him off after 12 months then hopefully get a proper manager in to pick up the pieces.

The fact its become such a farce, an accurate reflection of the club, once again only vindicates that Rafa found the situation untenable.

I dont think its down to lack of money that we might get roy, its down to taking too long to get shot of the old manager and all other managers getting other jobs.

Roy is a firefighter manager, the sort that the club needs right now, I am not saying he is best for the job as i can think of about 10 other names that i would like better, but out of the managers that we can get right now he is not too bank......better than having Kevin K in place.

Lakes you are completely mistaken. Again.

They could be hanging on to see if an of these world cup managers are interested in the job. I think anti Rafa has been eclipsed by anti Roy. Least Rafa was Liverpools manager and not Fulhams  :;):

Although I think he rubbished suggestions he'd manage in the Premiership.

Good manager though, and would be a good time to get him when all the knee-jerking's going on.

Hodgeson will be the most uninspirational appointment EVER.

Skysports.com understands Liverpool have lined up a move for Galatasaray boss Frank Rijkaard as they search for a new manager.

The Reds are still hunting a replacement for Rafa Benitez following the Spaniard's departure from Anfield earlier this month.

A number of names have been linked with the Anfield hot-seat, including Fulham boss Roy Hodgson and former Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini and now Rijkaard has come under consideration from the Liverpool board.

Former Holland international Rijkaard is regarded as one of the best coaches in Europe following his success at Barcelona, where he won two Spanish titles and the UEFA Champions League during his tenure at Camp Nou.

Compensation
Sources in Turkey claim Liverpool have approached Galatasaray twice in the last week to seek permission to talk to Rijkaard, but that the Turkish club have rejected their overtures.

Rijkaard, who took over at Galatasaray in June 2009, has just a year to run on his current deal, meaning Liverpool may not have to fork out a high compensation fee if they can agree a deal with Galatasaray for the 47-year-old.

The Dutchman is believed to be keen on managing in the Premier League at some stage in his career, but Galatasaray are reluctant to lose his services.

Liverpool are keen to sort out their managerial situation as soon as possible and they could be forced look elsewhere if Galatasaray fail to release Rijkaard.

Get a grip people. Roy hodgson will do a good job for this great club. Why are so many obsessed with foreign managers? Its easier to win the scuddetto than the premier league! Harry Redknapp, has done a wonderful job at spurs. He's only won the FA cup in 27 years of management. Hodgson has won more things but with smaller clubs. He got Switzerland FFS, to rank number 4 in the world! Something this golden generation of ours would love to be able to attain to.

Since Wenger, too many have jumped on the foreign band wagon. Ramos, Erikson, Grant, Cappello, Rafa etc. Havent been fantastic successes have they? CL win aside, 1 FA cup for 5 years is appalling. Houllier won more in one season!

We need British and Hodgson is a calming influence, tactically sound, and plays football the right way. None of that dreary 1 up front, 2 holding midfielders pish.

Im an optimist, and really believe that we still have the nucleas of a very good team if they are playing without fear. Look what fear has been doing to the cream of englands talents? Now take the shackles off and players play 20-30% better.

If masch goes we get 30m extra to spend. So, we could have 55m to spend this summer. A good manger will get some good players for that.

Just how many scuddetto's did Hodgson win?  Zero.

Ancolotti struggled to win the title for AC Milan.  1st season at Chelsea he wins the double.  How do you explain this?

Oh and since when has Hodgson played expansive attacking football?  I must of missed that.

Do you actually watch Fulham? ten men behind the ball that dont cross the half way line, he is one of the most boring defensive minded managers around.
