The board are manipulating people like Chess pieces with little respect for reputation or their standing in this once great community and this is the reason why Hodgson has been used as a mere pawn ............. and why he will never be accepted as the fans choice ( and for this I genuinely feel for the man ) but I feel for Kenny more ???
Its no surprise the owners feel the need to remove anyone with serious links with the club ,people who have contributed greatly to our illustrious past will only make decisions based on the heart and in the owners grand scheme of things this will not do .....

Wasnt it the owners that brought Kenny back in ?

he was, but it has been glossed over somewhat by the doom and gloom merchants.  Personally i think we should get Ian rush and John barnes back too.

May I ask why?

Out of curiosity.

probably something to do with the fact he's a decent manager.

"decent", not "exceptional", "outstanding", "excellent" or even "very good", but "decent" - is that good enough?!?!

Is Kenny any of those things tho?

I can't really decide which of the two I'd rather have. Kenny has a bigger connection with the club but he would be putting his status on the line by taking the job after being out of the game for so long, whereas 'Woy' is still in the game and has recently managed in England and done a good job with Fulham. That said though he isn't good enough for LFC and quite frankly, neither is Kenny (in a managerial capacity)

Comments from Inter chairman, Massimo Moratti.

"Roy Hodgson was an important person in the development of Inter Milan to the point we have reached today," said Moratti. "He saved us at the right time.

"When he came we were in trouble, and things appeared dark. He didn't panic, he was calm and made us calm

"Disaster was averted at the most important time. Everyone at Inter will remember him for that and his contribution. He is considered by us all as an important person in our history. He left an endowment to this club that's important in our history."

Good post...as far as i see it, Hodgson is the best manger we have been linked with. I accept we haven't been linked with many good managers, but he's still the best of an average bunch.

Why didnt he get him back when Mourhino left?

Hodgeson was pelted with coins and lighters from the Inter fans when they didnt make it into the CL.
His record at Inter was won 15, drawed 14, lost 11. At Blackburn he won 2 games out of 14.
Fulham have won on the road just 4 times in two seasons 38 games.
Trophys won in the last 10 years the LMA award.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Kenny Dalglish 1/2/2011

REST IN PEACE PHIL, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

the point is he stopped the rot and brought stability.

Do you really think Kenny would turn us around? Personally i think he'd quit as soon as the pressure got to him and last 3 months max.

Its not important who brought Kenny back to the club ,because if it was the owners idea it backfired spectacularly ( whatever their agenda may have been ) as it just leaves another Liverpool Icon they have to remove urgently from the Club ...... This is Kenny Dalglish we're talking about and his legacy is being tarnished by these CUNTS its irrelevant who brought him in because they now want him out and have treated him with vile contempt in perfecting this ??? ............ So maybe when the club has nobody who has any deep roots in the Club .......
then maybe all the people who dismiss the" doom and gloomers " with such naivety... will finally be forced to accept the TRUTH and that maybe just maybe they should have been as equally frustrated and angry as the people and fans they have frowned on ???

our great managers have been very much in the hodgson mould rather than rafa or jose mould. Fagan, Paisley very much like roy. Football men of life. Get over the big name manager they dont always bring success.

Back roy to the hilt, i will for one. An Englishman in charge of this great club! Its been a long time since evans left. I want the passion and spark back at this club. An Englishman is the best route just now. Kenny coming back is asking a lot, too much for me. I love Dalglish, and i want my memories to stay like that. I dont want them tarnished by a couple of poor seasons. Its like when i watched Tyson at end of his career. t upsets you when your heroes aren't what you remember them by.

Roy Hodgson is a perfectly capable manager to lead this club FORWARD.

You're all taking this way too seriously.

If we get Woy its BECAUSE we have no money. So without money theres no point even looking for a good manager because none would accept.

Bankrupt owners cant contract a 6 million a year manager for 4 years with penalty clauses for contract cancellation should the new owners want to bring their own man.

Bankrupt owners can offer a transfer kitty.

Bankrupt owners may need to sell star players so obviously the candidate will have to be a compromise character who is there to drive the bus, but not to choose the route.

Bankrupt owners cant risk having a Capello strong type of character walking the corridors then resign after 3 months when he realises the true state of the club.

Lads and lasses, the ONLY choice the club has is to bring in a deeply compromised soul, pay him off after 12 months then hopefully get a proper manager in to pick up the pieces.

The fact its become such a farce, an accurate reflection of the club, once again only vindicates that Rafa found the situation untenable.

them 3 years were when hicks and Gillett took over.  Coincidence?  i don't think so.

And we still did very well considering the debt they were piling onto us and the transfer budget decreasing all the time.

2nd in the PL and a couple of CL semi's and Quarters is not bad for a man with no money.

I dont think its down to lack of money that we might get roy, its down to taking too long to get shot of the old manager and all other managers getting other jobs.

Roy is a firefighter manager, the sort that the club needs right now, I am not saying he is best for the job as i can think of about 10 other names that i would like better, but out of the managers that we can get right now he is not too bank......better than having Kevin K in place.
