It's a bit like the thread in Premiership General discussion which is about Mourinho. As I said earlier, if you don't want to read about Mourinho or debate Mourinho, best not to go in it. It's not that difficult really surely ???

Ah, so it's a travesty to lock threads where you're "creating difficulty" for the pro's, but fine for you to "suggest we stay out"?

Hypocrisy?

I’m losing all interest in posting because of GYBS and his likes to be honest jumping at every post criticizing the poster with 1liner bullsht posts that basically question loyalty or quite simply offer irrelevant and tedious support to the manager/players... guess what GYBS, ur fcking boring mate, probably the most boring, clueless poster these boards have ever seen..

My indictment of the rafa regime...

Well... he's been a terrific coach for us... we’re yet again one of the better sides in the continent and he's done a great job in making us one of the hardest sides to beat in world football at the moment... I think it was saint who said earlier that the one thing u look for in a manager is success and whether a manager would bring in any... now IMO, Benitez has taken us as far as he can... I don’t think he has what it takes to win us the league, which after all is our main hope/objective/whatever... his approach to the game is too negative at times, and add to that the fact that he thinks that a player can’t play 2 games in a row without somehow being rotated 3 times whilst at it... all the crrappy transfers.. etc etc... Would take a lot of things going our way at once for us to become champions under him imo...

I don’t think he should or could be sacked this season quite simply because we’re still in it and its pretty late to bring someone in and hope for an instant impact because even that might not be enough for us to win it this season... Starting next season though, I think it wouldn’t be a bad idea at all if we start off with a new manager... not to milk it or anything but mourinho would be a fantastic man to have in charge... not that i think it could/will happen, just that i cant seem to think of many others who wouldnt be (risks) if you will... Gullit is another one I find pretty interesting but I won’t go there now...

Anyways... hope everyone is having a good night

Whereas "Rafa is sh*t", "Rafa has taken us as far as he can", "Rafa doesn't have what it takes", "Rafa will never win the league" is the most exciting literature ever produced...

Pr*ck.

i didnt say rafa is sht..

anyways... its my opinion so if u got any decent input besides ur usual sluutty nonsense i suggest u either put it out or just stick to posting in general chat...

ur just ruining a good footie thread here dumbo now hush hush back to bed its pretty late u dont wanna miss school tomorrow...

Listen to me. It is very rare I ever post in General Chat, so i should nip that one in the bud right here and now if you know what's good for you.

Rafa has shown progress every season. We are in the best position for the best part of 20 years, and we've done it almost entirely without our best striker.

Do I make myself clear, or would you like it in Dolby Surround Sound, with flashing baubels and a free embossed pencil sharpener and sticker to hammer the point home?

Do you think you might digest that, pumpkin, so you can all stop lathering yourselves up with the creamy soap of your Lando-free football discussion fantasies?

F*ck off.

Oh dear. No I'm not suggesting you stay out, I'm suggesting that if it makes you get all apopleptic then perhaps you shouldn't bother reading in here. Sabre and Scott and people of that ilk come in here and argue their corner, and you are of course fully entitled to do that as well.

If though it sends you into such a collywobble that you can't communicate other than in insults, then it might be best giving it a m!ss.

The strangest thing of all is, if you actually read the posts first before absolutely blowing a gasket you'd see that any criticism here has been very mild. Now I know in the past when you've been banned many have said you were harshly treated (me amongst them in truth) but it would be hard to argue that if it happened here. I don't ind you calling me a c... etc, it's cool but try and talk about football while you're doing it. Otherwise the whole thread will get locked up with nonsense.

Do you actually read my posts, Mick?

Not 2 minutes ago I posted up in layman's terms (wouldn't want any more misunderstandings, so I thought...) exactly why Rafa is doing a good job and should not be sacked.

But you keep obsessing over the insults. (Which have also been "very mild"...)

Why not? Everyone else does...

To me the question isn't who would have settled for where we are at the beginning of this season Mick, but rather who would have settled for where we are and what we have achieved since Rafa came in 2004.

Many I am sure would gladly of settled for a CL WIN and regular CL football. Myself I expected more, at least in the league, especially with the money we have spent. I don't think the people who would have settled for what we have achieved are wrong, just as I don't believe I am wrong because I expected more at the time, and TBH I have been disappointed that we have never come close nevermind won the league. Certainly if you had asked me back in 2006 what I expected over the next few years I would have expected a lot more than we have achieved.

Which is why I feel this season is so crucial, I think we were given a wonderful chance this season, and while we have not completely blown it we have certainly not taken full advantage of it. My worry is this may be the best chance we have for years, and then what?  We are unlikely to be able to compete with the mancs or Chelsea in the transfer market......... a few years go by and Gerrard and Carra retire, no money to replace them, and Torres and the rest of the armada sail back to Spain.

I honestly wouldn't feel half so bad if Rafa hadn't brought his contract up now. It has just crystalised how unsure I am of how well we are progressing and at what speed. I really feel very uneasy about him getting a new contract now instead of in the summer. I remember how I felt when Houllier was given a new contract after we won the League cup, and I feel the same sense of doubt now as I did then.

The post that began "listen to me boy"?, yes I did read it. I'm not sure about the best position for 20 years bit as we were right up there once with Houllier, but we're certainly doing much better. I don't think though to be honest that anyone is disputing that in all honesty, I really think if you read what people are saying while you won't agree with it, it's really not that horrific in content.

And I love your label to my post, cutely ignoring the remarks made by "Ace".

Well that's me all told off and put in my place...

I thought text-speak was banned?

Ace - you're a lovable character amongst your own, I'm sure. But do me a favour and stop papering over your rubbish.

You stated Rafa should be replaced at the end of the season. You are my mortal foe and I will crawl naked over broken glass and swim through a sea of petrol with a fag on just to fart in your face.

I will rip down buildings and bugger small woodland creatures just to blow my nose in your direction.

I will walk through a snake pit with a dead badger tied to my John Thomas just to spit at your feet.

And I will bid you good day, fo i am running out of analogies...

You paint a fairly grim picture there.  Add a CL final in year 3 and a CL semi final in year 4 and it reads a lot better.

Still though, 3 years in a row without actually winning anything wouldn't look good on Rafa's CV.

I'm not sure though that calling for a new manager at the end of the season means someone is a c...    It's an opinion, and he's voicing it in a "my indictment of Rafa Benitez" thread. Just like wanting Rafa to get a new contract doesn't make you a c..., it's just an opinion.

The crux of most peoples posts seems to be well it depend on the next couple of months, which obviously to a lesser or greater extent it does. Obviously if we win the title or get within a whisker of it, all bets are off. If we fall down a hole and finish fifth then all bets are off for a different reason.

Typically though, the likelyhood is that neither of those will happen. We'll probably finish second and near enough so people can claim massive progress, yet far enough away so people can claim it a disaster. Equally, we'll probably have a good champions league run, just to muddy the waters even further.

That's why everyone has an opinion, and I really can't see that Rafa's succes or otherwise is clear cut enough one way or another for people to get all worked up about it.

now ill say it again... u either stick to talking footie or find a different section to post ur sht in because all ur doing is ruining a good footie thread...

And I will bid you good day, fo i am running out of analogies...

good then... u dont think he should get sacked and i think he should...
now fck off ... ur entertaining and all but im not a big fan of fat clowns...
