Murphy going, finnan going, diouf going? - Exciting times dont you agree?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Now benitez has finally saw what we have for the last 2 -3 years, hes getting rid of the chumps. Fair enuff finann dosent look bad and good do a very steady job but ey weve got josemi now :D its exciting tymes because we all no RB wont sell midfielders unless hes got other players up his sleeves to buy or bring through the youth system.

The next couple of days are going to be very exciting and i can see ATLEAST major / big signing and im begging its going to be alonso and shaun wright phillips this would add class, quality and creativity to our midfield and if do do get them i can see the almost impossible task of RB winning the title in his 1st season

Also i agree with 1 of the other post, central defenders do not have to have pace if you read the game better it gives u a better awareness of the game and therefore can counterbalance the pace between the defnder nd the oposing player, whats the use of pace if you havent got a clue whats going to happen next and you guess wrong on whats going to happen then pace has no effect, hyypia henchoz can read the game well, well they did in there hay day when the partnership was 1 of the best in the lge and maybe the world i just hope RB can restore it in them and and the end of this season im sure he will have a few central defenders up his sleeve and liverpool will be as strong as they once were in the 70's.

Appointing Benitez IMO is 1 of the best things liverpool have EVER done he will bring the good old glorys days of old back to the kop.

Theres only 1 thing i feel i need to say and its to criticise rick parry for not accepting steve morgans bid, parry only had his own interests at rejecting the bid and did not realise the benefits of what would have happend if they accepted this a bit more cash this season and im almost sure we would have made us not title challengers but one of the favourites in my mind.

But still check this out for a first 11 and 5 subs :- (this is my first 11, other ppl might not feel the same way)

---------------------Kirkland---------------------

Josemi---------Henchoz----Hyypia------------Riise

Wright Phillips---Alonso----Gerrard---------- Kewell

----------------Owen-----Cisse------------------

Subs
Dudek
Carragher
Biscan
Welsh/Patridge/Warnock
Baros/Pongolle

Not a bad first 11 ey lol subs bench not bes but ey theres still promise there i just think that first 11 there could produce great things at anfiled, obviously alonso n wright phillips not signed or even going to be signed but speculation suggest theres something there to think about. sorry bout the long post guys just trying to put my views across so what do you guys think then?

Exciting times indeed. I love the way Benitez works. I think we will be stronger, fitter and a very tough side to break down. I can't wait to see who Benitez brings in, and I am really looking forward to the new season.

Now that LFC has accepted Spurs offer for Murphy, we must be due for incoming mid field players, but who?

Interesting.
Murphy 2 spurs, not sure what i make of this, as we don't seem to have much of a midfield left.
But i have confidence in the new guy
Godd time r ahead

to gerrard..your line-up looks pretty strong and athlelic :)
agree with the defence point! H-H pair are very good at positioning, the 2 fast fullbacks can help out at pressing opponents. Thats enuf imo...

Liverpool would not sell Murphy, without a replacement lined up.We don't have the depth to continue without Murphy. There is a thread on this site that states, Benitez told Murphy he was going and the same source said two new players are coming in..

The Internet is full of Wright-Ph, Alonso and Garcia..
One thing seems clear, RB doesn't make a fuss about in/outs.
Murphy's depature came out of the blue for nearly all of us.

Therefore we can expect the new boys to make an appearence, without much song and dance.
I like that
