Get rid.

He's had more than enough time to adapt, and doesn't even get into the right positions to score.

Yes he's bagged a couple over the last 3/games, but both were handed to him on a plate and from 3 yards out.

What matchs have you been watching? Morientes gets into great positions to score he just muffs up at the last hurdle. Yeah 15 months is a long time for someone of Nando's calibre to settle in and start producing. What happens when has been producing, just not scoring an effiecent amount of goals? I think Morientes has proven to everyone that he is human after all, not some sort of android who can adapt to any league surronding in the world.

Another thing I'd like to know is where did everyone get this assumption that Morientes is prolific like Henry? Coz that's what it seems to boil down to at the end of it all. Lack of goals. In case you may or may not have noticed all of our strikers have failed to find the net on more occasions than not.

I don't want to come across as a Morientes defendant but I am just sick to death with ppl making out Morientes is the worse than what he actually is. It seems that ppl have held too high a expectation of Morientes and he hasn't been able to deliever so your now turning your back on him and wishing him away.

And a goals a goal no matter what level it's handed to the scorer on.

However I will agree 55 games 9 goals is a very poor record indeed since his hyped up arrival 15 months ago.

He's hardly had a shot!

He's missed about 5 tap-ins, and virtually all of his 9 goals have come from mistakes by the opposition.

He doesn't challenge the 50-50's, he's so far looked worse than Crouch in the air, despite his reputation, and his feet are only quicker than a breeze-block.

Again - useless.

Lando your argument has no foundations to it but I do agree Moro hasn't lived up to his reputation in regards to being one of the finest aerial players of his generation. However don't most goals come from oppositions mistakes?

His goals against Charlton and Fulham were of the highest class and his goal against Anderlecht was a great shot.

But I am tired of giving a sensible and reasoned defence to Moro think what you like but if/when he starts scoring on a more regular basis you'll be the one eating a huge slice of humble pie.

I agree with Lando, don't get me wrong oasis Morientes is an amazing player! what he did with Real Madrid and Monaco shows his true class and proven pedigree. When he came to Liverpool he couldn't emulate the form of Real Madrid. They called him "el Moro" back in spain because he had wonderful heading abilities. Everytime they cross a ball to him he scores it with his head. He has wonderful technique and uses both feet superbly. Is he doing it here in Liverpool? no he isn't! he is missing alot of chances and sitters. His heading ability isn't the old morientes headers! his touches are getting from good to worst!

I used to be a big Morientes fan, but im sorry i backed him up enough and still not showing the goods! unless he proves me wrong and starts banging goals.

There is no way Mori will recapture his old form.

He doesn't get into the positions required to score goals, unless the ball is passed to him 3-yards-out.

Regarding his goals against Anderlect, Charlton and Fulham:

3 excellent goals from an ex-elite striker in 15 months doesn't cut it.
What about the tap-ins he's missed? What about the lack of anticipation in the box?
What about his inability to adapt to the physical and fast-paced nature of the Premiership?

He's useless in England. (Is that a suitable compromise? )

9 goals in 55 games says it all, 3 of them where good, 2 were against Kaunas, Portsmouth and 2 other teams.

Look at are big games and look at his performances, then look at Crouch, goal at goodison, winner v Man U, absolutly outstanding at the weekend.

At the start of the season i wouldnt have ever imagined that lanky lad from Southampton would be doing more for us than Mori and is even more reliable under pressure.

Fair enough Lando your points are well made and I agree with some of them. Well I'd give him one more season and if he can't hack it sell him on but I agree 100% with him not hacking the physical nature of the Premiership as the 1-0 win against Arsenal showed. However I am noticing improvements in his performance nearly every game.

Hopefully he can build on that oasis! if he does and proves us wrong then i wouldn't want him to leave.

This season is his last chance to prove what he has! Summer is very close!

I have read your posts with interest, and a bit of admiration.
I am not taking the p!ss when i say this but you are either the eternal optimist, or one of them people that would never see any wrong in anyone that wears the red shirt (sort of like how a mother sees her son) 
There's nothing wrong with what your saying...except that its actually not right.
I will agree that Morientes's goal record has never been like a top poacher (Owen, Raul), but still...what do you reckon his assist record is ?
I dont think he has a decent amount of assists, for a forward player that doesn't score enough goals.
He is neat and tidy, and capable of doing something sublime (once or twice a match) that might appear on showboating on soccer am.
But lets be honest, that is nowhere near enough.
When you said its unfair to say that we have performed better without him in the side, with your reason being its a team game, i also disagree again.
It may be a team game, but still different players give the team a lot more end product. I know there are another 10 players alongside him, but it is obvious to anyone the team is better without him in it.
I actually feel sorry for Nando, he seems to have underestimated how difficult and physical the english top flight is. He hasnt adapted to the pace, and has been bullied out of games far too easily.
I agree that he would be more effective behind a poacher, without doubt he has the ability to spot a pass.
But would we be better with or without him next season ?
That is a pretty easy one to answer imo. WITHOUT.
I hope he returns to Spain and enjoys his football again, as he is not happy here.

I think most LFC fans myself included will continue to support him, any hope he comes good.
Just the majority can see its not very likely.

Do you think he is not happy in England or playing for Liverpool?
He has had over a full season with us and he is not performing for us he don’t celebrate with the lads why don’t he because he thinks he is not playing well ?.
Unload him while we can still get a little bit for him.
And he can play happy football in Spain.
If he is not happy he is not going to perform for us end of .

As for me ... I knew from beginning that Nando/Mori does not "suit" for EPL and maybe others league will be better for him. I always remember that when I said "bad" things about Mori, most of ppl will defend him and "blast" me but now there's are some ppl can see what Mori cant do . That is to score GOALS.  (less tha 15 goals in 15 months)

Anyways for the Love of Liverpool, I would like to see him go to other club and with that money hope that RAFA will bring some new players that better than him.
