Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

MORIENTES SCORES HIS FIRST GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL AND THE KOPPITES ARE BACK IN THE GAME.. beautiful goal from the Spain international.. he latched onto a poor back pass, cut inside onto his left foot and blasted into the top left from just on the edge of the area.. Classy stuff.

He looks like one of the decent buys so far and like Alonso he is adapting to the Premiership and can only get better

Whatever about the rules...I am just happy that he broke his duck. Hope there is more to come from him.

Great goal last night, impressive skill & finish. Somebody said last week that with El Moro it feels like the dam's going to burst any minute and I've got to agree it's looking that way.

13 premiership games to go, I reckon he'll bag 10 more between now and the end of the season

Cheers for the various descriptions of the goal people
I missed the Match of the Day last night - after a few too many cheeky ones at me local
Was reading the match report on Skysports & am kicking meself I missed the highlights
Sounded like a solid performance & very good goal to open his account with
They also praised Baros in the report - saying he ran tirelessly & complimented Morientes very well
Was everyone happy with the performance
And before I get jumped on by a Moderator "This exists in another thread, RULES RULES RULES blah blah blah"
I'm still workin me bloody way down the threads
and just got excited about last nights performance and had to post something
:D

Team played well but what i saw on football first there are still areas that need to be improved on vastly! The ball was given away too easily at times.
Hypia to me still looked a shadow of his former self he gets turned too easy and his distribution was lacking!
Biscan looked average to say the least, i think i would prefer to see welsh in the line up from his performances this year!
Traore offers little threat overlaping and can be prone to moments of madness!
Garcia although not playing badly still has sparkled consistently
and for £6 mill i hoped for more. Maybe he is still getting used to the premiership and finding form. Yesterday he did show some fight but didn't look quite at the races!
If i had to mark the game it would be a C+, Liverpool done everything it needed to do but needs to be more consistent, can do better!
