As far as im aware,Mista is available to sign a pre-contract in the new year but he wont be available till next season.

Mista is out of contract in June next year. Therfore under the "Bosman Ruling" on player transfer, he is free to sign a contract with another club to leave for free in June. If he leaves in January, he will still be contracted to Valencia, and therefore will command a fee, possibly minimal due to the length of the aforementioned contract.

Lee Bowyer signed for West Ham from Leeds for a paltry £100grand a couple of years ago. This sum was simply buying up the remaining few months of his contract at Leeds before Bowyer was out of contract.

There has been talk of us signing Mista for £1million in January in order to get him here early, but really I think that would be too much and a more sensible fee would probably be in the region of £500,000.
