The main thing though is getting Henderson, Downing and Carroll to produce. Henderson and Carroll look to be making progress but we need all 3 to be on form tbh. Kuyt is just too slow and whilst I think he still has something to offer I think he's past it.

Main worry for me though is goals. Suarez can score but what if he gets injured? Gerrard is out again so I think we need to buy in Jan. I think we will buy in Jan anyway tbh but if we are still in with a shout for 4th around that time then I fully expect us to sign at least 1 player.

We seem to have swapped Gerrard for Suarez in terms of go to man for goals & results. He even makes Carroll look better when on the pitch.

I don't know how we would fair without him..  :(

Would like to another young striker added to the mix, preferably someone who plays with the ball at his feet.

We also need someone who can score goals from the middle or the right. Henderson may not feature in every game and Kuyt for me has lost it so that's a big gap right there that Stevie used to fill.

the fawning over them on motd2 last night was embarassing. you'd think they were a reincarnation of brazil 1970 or something.

we need to spend again in january and surely the club have targets in mind so that will erase the thought of panic buying.we need to forget about looking for more youth and get established proven players that can make a difference now and help the younger ones progress.i do have faith in our new signings coming good over time but that time wont be this season.

what concerns me is that we are back to everything resting on one players shoulders in suarez and should he get injured we will struggle for goals and creativity,if him and gerrard are out we will end up drawing a lot of games.
spurs are playing well and its hard to see the wheels falling off them atm while arsenal seem to be sorting themselves out also and have caught us in the process.
imo out of the 3 squads we are worse off as we havent got the creativity that the others have and this will be the difference for us in turning 1pt into 3.

yep regretfully i agree. Seems at the moment Spurs and Arsenal are more equipped to attack the fourth place. I thought Gerrard would be our X factor but with all his injuries it becomes a more and more tricky.

Unless all our new signings perform to their max capabilities we are facing a long climb up the hill.

At the start of the season I was more confident of a top four finish than I am now. A CL place is of course still achievable but Arsenal seem to be recovering from their poor start, Spurs have continued to do well and with Newcastle on a surprisingly good run the fight for that top four finish is getting tougher all the time.

Lot of debate about our midfield atm, however we shuffle it, I think it's obvious we're short on quality in that dept, not sure if we'll bring someone in during the Jan window but it deffo needs to be addressed.

Hate to say it but take Suarez out the team and we're quite an ordinary unit as it stands. I really hope some of our other new players show a big improvement soon and step up to the plate.

I'm not too concerned over Henderson for some strange reason, while he hasn't set the league a light there definitely is a decent enough footballer in there somewhere. Perhaps shifting him to the center of the park may bring out the best in him. But he does have a good touch, is a nice tidy footballer and has an eye for goal. I think he has it to grow here with us.

Carroll, my mind isn't made up, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and more time obviously to develop - but honestly he hasn't had the best start to his LFC career.

Downing, initially I never rated the bloke, I saw him as ordinary if anything. His first few appearances were excellent and I was munching on humble pie. But in recent weeks I've vomited that pie back up unfortunately, he's gone back to the player I initially though was ordinary.

Adam, have to say it: He annoys me somewhat. I think he believes the hype surrounded around him and to me seems like a 'charlie', nonchalantly strolling his way around the pitch. He can't tackle for toffee and has the tendency to miss place passes in dangerous areas.

I think I'm with Woof on this, at the beginning of the season I was more confident of a top 4 finish than I am now. My confidence in the side has waned a bit, I didn't think the WBA performance was all that, luckily though we never needed to get out of second gear for that - because without Suarez in the side I couldn't envisage a fourth or fifth gear in this side. :(

A comprehensive win against Swansea may change that though. :)

our minimum is 4th, but if we keep going like this realistically we will end up the same position as last season

we need to cut out spending money on overrated english players

At this point lets just not get :censored: relegated.

Dropped points at home to Norwich, Sunderland, Swansea and manure.  Considering we always beat manure at home, that's 8 points dropped at home compared to 6 gained at home from the 2 wins against 2 of the worst teams in the prem.

At least we look alright away.

Those who voted 4th need to wake up. Mind you im sure most of those were done before the start of the season although im sure given a chance most would vote the other way now.

Also Kenny has to be feeling a bit of pressure now.

I voted us 5th and had us challanging the 4th if Gerrard is fit and back to normal. The way things are developing we are again back to square one meaning 6th place.

I really had high hopes for Adam ,Downing and Jordan but it just doesn't get better as time goes by.  :(

Again looking for Gerrard return to pull us up but our Captain looks pretty vulenrable.

I think Henderson will come good eventually. But I was sceptical of Downing at the time. Adam you can't really argue with , 6.5 mil isn't much.

it's still 4th for me. If Kenny can't deliver that at the end of the season then he'll have to make way for someone who can.
