 love this comment from the Bolton game.

I admit.  I got a good chuckle out of it when he said it.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

If things go the way they are now after 3 games till May next year, 3rd position is a definitely possible. Even John H. said we're years behind the scum. Rome was not built in one day. So clearly John has a long term plan and he doesn't want Liverpool to be like Real Madrid where firing their manager for not winning the CL and/or Liga is virtually an annual event. So I'd say he's being realistic and the message he's conveying is, "Let's qualify for CL this year and we'll plan our strategy to win the league after that".

Lets take it one game at a time and see how it goes.  If Spurs and Arsenal keep playing the way they are and we keep playing how we are... 4th should be possible.  (maybe/hopefully higher).

the manchester teams are just so far ahead. Chelski always play a tight game but normally always come out on top.
It will be a big battle for 4th, and if Arsenal and Spurs doesn't do anything to strengthen it looks promising.

But like jacdaniel said, let's take it one game at a time. It's a long season and lots can happen as many teams doesn't know where they stand yet.

Anyone expecting better than 4th is crazy IMHO. It could happen, certainly, but even 4th is not guaranteed. Let's first consolidate ourselves as a CL team again, and then the players who can take us to the next level will be more likely to come in, if we have not been able to develop them internally.

Likewise, I don't really understand anyone claiming it is a two horse race in Manchester after just 3 games. Let's give the season a few more games before we start making prophecies shall we!

I know we're only 4 games in but im thinking 4th will be my maximum expectation.
Both the Mancs are looking very strong at the moment and even Chelsea are doing well.

Thankfully we've started stronger than Arsenal + Spurs, although they've had tougher fixtures so far.
We really need points next weekend.

By the look of things at the moment, if the 2 Manc clubs don't slip up, the top 2 positions are 'reserved' for them. The battle for 3rd and 4th will be between us and the likes of Chel, Spurs, Ars, and a few more surprise teams. We are a team that is still Work In Progress that is miles better than a year ago in terms of ownership, management, player qualities.

To win the PL, we need a great manager (we already have in Kenny), multi multi billionaire tycoon owner and star players. The latter two, unfortunately we not up to the mark yet. Player wise, I'd say only Suarez, Downing, Stevie G and Enrique are great, the rest are just good players. But the light at the end of the tunnel is, if we can make it to CL, we'll be attractive to star names and with Kenny in charge, winning the PL is  a possibility, but this season just concentrate on 4th, 3rd would be wonderful.

4th will not be possible without a fit & firing Gerrard, his groin must hold out until we are back in the top 4.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both become the joke of the PL. Not worth commenting where we'll end up this season if we don't get our acts together. What has happened to Kenny? I dont' recall us playing this kind of sh.te football ever under him until today.

Why exactly have we become the joke of the PL? you seem a bit hysterical after 5 games. I advice on having your expectations adjusted and maybe taking an extra dosage of reality.
