Yeah, I don't see the connection there either. One cost 14 million pounds, the other was free. One was a Black man with White hair and the other is a White man with brown hair. One speaks French the other Serbian. Ones right footed the other left. One Houllier signed and the other Rafa signed.

Am I missing something

Well you guys don't know Owzat is our resident stat meister? He notices trends... In this case he's basically implying because cisse sucked jovanovic must too..

Just pointing out that the last player who was bestowed upon the incoming manager by the departing manager was Cisse, you can draw your own conclusions.

Perhaps what I am implying is our expectation levels should be tempered by various factors including the fact that Woy didn't sign him. That and the fact that this guy played in a weaker league. We paid £14m for Cisse and he didn't work out great, although perhaps not as bad as some will suggest, so what do you or should you expect from a bosman signing.......................? I could have compared him with Voronin....................................

don't know if i'm reading too much into it but that could suggest that he'll play mainly behind the striker as an old fashioned number 10?
