Milan Baros - Wouldnt work

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Dundalk » Sat Dec 31, 2005 8:16 pm

I watched the Gooners game today with Villa and Mr Baros was up front. Watching him running aroung like a headless chicken with or without the ball just made me realise that he never would have fitted into the long term plan of Rafa.

When you look at Crouch and Nando they are team players (especially crouch) who work really hard for the team and Baros wasnt and would mess the system up. He scores some good individual goals but how many times were you frustrated by him running with the ball and going nowhere?

Cisse can be accused of this some times but against Neverton he didnt look so bad and anyway i think he could be on his way in the summer (again for not fitting into the system)

Fair play to Rafa he knows his system and if you dont fit into it the its on your bike.

Baros missed an almost certain goal when put clean through which ultimately cost Villa a win today. Playing as a main striker, blasting chances like that is unexcusable and good thing we got rid of him. A headless chicken really...

How much was it for, 6.5 million? That's a good transfer income for selling a player who is not really that clinical.

I heard one of the commentators from the Villa/Arsenal game suggest that Baros may have forgotten how to play without his hands. :D

I just watched the highlights of the Villa-Arsenal game and only noticed Baros' thin single stripe of beard below his lower beard ala Pires. If you can't imitate the player, start with his styling...:D
