Mellor to against millwall

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

It's on Sky Sports News that Mellor is starting against Millwall and Hamman, Cisse, Garcia and a couple of others are being rested, I think we should rest our big names as Millwall will injure a few of our players for sure  ???

I'd like to see potter on the right, whitebread at left back, pongolle and mellor up front, henchoz at the back, diao and biscan in the centre of midfield and whoever in the other positions, just to give them a run out. :)

Mellor has a lot to prove.  My friend is a West Ham fan and took the p1ss out of me big time since he was rubbish and couldn't get in the team.:(

wow that line up sounds like the reserves, but hey now it's time to find the depth of our team.  That would be an accomplishment that GH never would have accomplished

I don't rate Mellor but he has been scoring regularly in the reserves so throw him in cos I only care about the CL and League TBH :;):

Mellor will only ever get a start in this type of match as he is simply not good enough. I think it was Houllier who gave him a a contract extension when it was time to offload the player. We are stuck with him now so may as well get him get some work out of him tonight  ???

yeh I liked the look of Potter when he's played, i hadnt heard anything about him being a hot prospect before but would like to see him have a go tonight

And although it would be a risk, I wouldnt be opposed to give Cisse/Baros a run at a 'lesser' team, they need to get their partnership going and this could be a decent opportunity to play under less pressure than theyve been under, say 50-60 minutes, still gives Mellor/Pongolle a good half hour to impress... just a shame its Millwall though!

i think Cisse and Baros should start as they need the games to find out how to work together and also how to shoot on target
