MELLOR THE NEIL DEAL FOR ROBBO

BRYAN ROBSON is ready to end Neil Mellor's frustrations by making the Liverpool striker one of his first summer signings. 

The West Bromwich boss is lining up a £750,000 bid for the striker - who is recovering from a knee injury which has kept him out for the past four months.
 
Robson has already failed in a bid to land Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson.
 
Mellor, 22, is surplus to requirements for Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and will be allowed to move on. The former trainee was restricted to just 16 appearances, scoring five goals last season.
 
But with Benitez eyeing up a £5million bid for Southampton striker Peter Crouch, he has no future on Merseyside.
 
Robson is looking to bring in five fresh faces this summer and is also back on the trail of Juventus duo Igor Tudor and Nicola Legrottaglie.
 
Both have been out on loan - Tudor to Siena and Legrottaglie to Bologna - and Robson hopes to get the pair for around £3m.
