I went to see A Kennedy at a sportsmans dinner he was excellent.He brought all his medals with him mounted in a velvet box,which he passed around the room.Talking to him later he told me he did a dinner in the N East and someone stole his European Cup winners medal and replaced it with an after dinner mint.

He also told this really filthy joke,about some pr.ck who lives next door to his brother Keith.

.. I lurve Alan Kennedy.. he was on sky when we played the bluesh*te.. wonderful and a red thru and thru.. old Barney Rubble still have the newspapre cutting of him.. with the European Cup in his hand..

yeah he was a good player who liked to get forward. not only did he score the winners in two european cup finals he also scored a cracking equaliser against man u in the milk cup final.
looking back he must have been fit as ****** because he was always bombing on but at the same time never seemed to get caught upfield.
