Hansen won't be happy every week he criticizes us and we beat 'the Best team in Europe' (Carra's Quote) this week so he had to shut it for once but why no analysis of Riera's impact?, even Claridge was praising him and Benitez when on his phone-in show, Just typical MOTD bias.

PS: Stoke next week, just remember Birmingham last season.

FA Cup aside, Brum are our bogey team. Although I'd say there's more to Stoke than I and many others imagined after so long out of the top flight. Not your Derby, maybe more like your Reading or Brum who we dropped points against last season.

We need to score in the first 20 or we'll have big problems from those long throws.

But would Gerrard play that game, with Everton the following week?

Hopefully we'll control the game better than the bitters and not give them that many throw-ins in our half. I'd possibly start Gerrard against Stoke to get him some minutes on the pitch and back to fitness, make him first off if/when we're winning comfortably. Torres will doubtless want to start, I was more worried about his fitness last night than Gerrard's.

If Stoke were to win or draw we'll probably be right up there in the MOTD schedule, anything else and we'll probably be near the end. MOTD like the title contenders ie man u and Chelsea, and then look for upsets or corkers. ITV seems to prefer us, perhaps knows our games are less predictable than often they should be

Merseyside Derby and only third in the showing, inevitably the Hull 'shock' result was bumped up and wasn't it the boring blues second?
