From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

If and when Mascherano does sign for us , I would say that without doubt we have the best midfield options in world football Gerrard, Alonso, Momo and Mascherano. Now the problem is going to be how do we get the best out of them all. If Kewell could get back to anything like his Leeds days we would have a midfield to conquer the world (well europe anyway)

from lfc.tv:

Xabi Alonso faces a one match suspension after collecting his fifth booking of the season at West Ham last night.
The Spanish midfielder was yellow carded for a foul on Nigel Reo-Coker in the second half and will now miss the Premiership clash at Newcastle on February 10.

so any takers for masherano (providing he signs) starting against newcastle?

Its possible. Lets see how he works out in training first. Im sure hes not mentally all there having been frozen out all this time at West Ham.

But if theres one thing Rafa has proved, its how to get the best out of players.

It's a great signing to get Masher :D

But I fear Rafa will look to make Stevie a permanent fixture on the right :(

I'd love him to play and score against the blueshite on saturday. Their whinging would reach dangerous level.

Start a rumour that Collina went to work for FIFA

Who would have thought just before the World Cup the sort of figures that would have been involved in trying to get hold of him and hes landed right in our laps.

Potentially he could become as influential to the squad as Stevie and Xabi but I dont want to start counting the chickens just yet :D

Still credit has to go to Rafa for making this happen.

F*cking Nora.

FIFA have definitely given their permission for him to join, but now we're waiting for the spineless geeks at the FA to ratify the transfer.

With that spunk-glove Dein on the panel, can we really expect the f*ckers to allow it?
