Was dead impressed with Gonzalez last nite....Not as pacey as I thought he was though and he might want to watch the Ronaldo-esque stepovers. I thought at one stage he was gonna stuff Richard Dunne for pace on a on-on-one up the wing but fair play to Dunne (he's not the quickest but Gonzo didn't shake him). Still, I thought the lad did well.
I don't know who the Chile Nr. 10 was but he had a crackin' game. Always dangerous. Rafa - send in the scouts !!

I didn't see the game myself but from what I heard (post match comments) and from this forum Gonzo had a good game.

Mark Gonzalez looks as though he will bring some much needed pace to the team.

He looks like a confident player. He isn’t afraid to shoot through a crowded box, something that we need, were to hesitant at times to have a crack. His shooting is impressive and he has confidence to use his right foot which is a massive bonus, yesterday he was using the touchline but also coming inside, with the right guidance I feel we have a real player on our hands.
