Manure and ronaldonald are out! - Lets rejoice

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

first things first, manure going out is an immense news. till the start, they havent been playing decent football but manage to scrape points. clearly, they deserve what they got.

second, barcelona out is another immense news. ronaldinho got what he deserved by criticising all english teams, inlcuding us even though we have a clear 3-1 advantage. that ****** head.

show some Respect, Ronaldinho is the best player in the world and it's a sahme we won't be able to see him play a further part in the competition, saying that i would favour facing Chelsea over Barca.

Ronaldinho has the potential to be in the same league as Maradona IMO.

message to alex ferguson.

YOU GOT WHAT YOU DESERVED FOR YOUR ARROGANT ATTITUDE. :p

top of your group and already qualified for the knockout stages, you put a reserve team out against fenerbache in the last group game. you proceeded to lose the game 3-0 and finish second in the group.

consequently you drew milan instead of werder bremen and you got well and truly stuffed.

good riddance :D

Agreed, lets give credit where credits due.

My thoughts on the game last night were...........what a truly awesome, yes awesome goalkeeper Chelsea have got in Cech, he is and was quite magnificent last night.

Yes 2 goals conceded, however one a penalty (lottery, however still managed to get a hand to it) and the other a piece of individual brillianace by Ronaldinho, which just could not be stopped.

Jealous?? Fcukin right I am

Great news man u are out

And lets face it, chelsea were extremely lucky not to go out too. Valdez was clearly fouled for Terry's winner

And pity collina wasn't refereeing our game v chelsea on new year's day, at least he can spot chelsea players clearly handling the ball in the box!!

I agree, we have played them three times this season, and we were unlucky to lose all three matches. Surely the law of averages is on our side.

The Chelsea-Barca game was awesome, high quality football.

I don't totally agree with Zara that Chelski was lucky, Barca was also lucky in the first leg when Drogba was harshly sent off. It is a 2 legged affair and the luck tend to average out for both teams more over 180 minutes than over a single game.

We're lucky because had we drawn AC Milan or Barca at this stage, we would have a greater chance of getting knocked out because like it or not, we haven't showed the resillience Chelsea has in abundance and also their passing was good (not as good as Barca but still very good) whereas we are very inconsistent in that department.

Maurinho gambled with an attacking line-up and was rewarded for this decision and he demonstrated how good a coach he is. Benithez is also good but we have too many softies who play with no heart and passion - the "confused" Kewell is a prime example.
