After re-watching the mash clip, was he going to fight the ref?

at no point in the game were we the better side. before the sending off it was not like we were dominating and creating anything.   we have been in good form but today was the test and if honest we have to accept utd are well ahead of us.  how many times do we need to lose to utd before we stop blaming refs, lack of luck etc and accept they are better than us?

did you watch the match?  It wasn't just that incident it was the 7 before where he was sprinting up to the Ref and complaining.  FFS he was shouting "F**K off" to the ref for 5 mins after his yellow card and it isn't on.  Masch was bang out of order and he had to be sent off.  Blame him, not the ref.

formation didnt work this time. but i think the sending off is the reason as it left a huge hole in the middle. alonso wasnt good enough to deal with it. and gerrard looked lost.

The system was working. And working well. The sending off ruined us.

And people slating Kuyt in this game are completely clueless about football. He was making some great runs, intelligent link-up play, and worked his socks off as usual. He was our pivotal player up until the sending off.

How it amuses me when people with a different opinion to that of others insist that those that don't agree with his or her opinion knows nothing about the game.

In my opinion, Kuyt was garbage. He may run around a lot but so could Roger Black. He's of little threat to quality opposition and therefore defenders simply don't need to man mark him, which if they did would create space for others.

His first touch was woeful, he lost the ball every time he had it and his lack of pace is embaressing for a player currently deployed on the wing.

How was he garbage? From what I seen of him, all our attacking momentum was built from most of his play. He held the line well and linked up well with the mid-field. This system (with Kuyt) has been proving successful lately. Like I said, the sending off f*cked our shape. We'd no plan B.

Exactly, I actually agree with you, well not about your love in with Kuyt of course, but about us not having a plan B, we never do. I don't think I have seen a single match with Rafa where he has been able to change formations or players to affect the game, as for example Ferguson, Wenger and other top managers can. If Rafa's first tactic works then great we play well, if not then it is a case of backs to the wall and hope for some luck. Not good enough!!

I am as depressed as I was after Arsenal came and humiliated us at Anfield earlier this season, not in score line but in performance. We are so far behind the top three in terms of passion and skill that it is frightening. Where the hell was Captain marvellous when Mascha was getting sent off or Alonso for that matter, they should have stepped in and stopped him, or even better Rafa should have subbed him earlier, it wasn't just two incidents he was moaning to Bennet The whole bloody half the stupid Argie pr1ck!!
Something needs to change at the club because it is still not right, sure we can now beat sh1t teams which is nice but up against the big boys we are shown up as mere pretenders, with a lack of creativeness and heart.

There is one positive thing that has come from this incident: Mascherano showed all the qualities necessary of a true captain and this bodes well for the future. As of now, he is officially my choice for next captain of Liverpool FC

He disagreed with him. It's a man's sport. And refs aren't always 100% correct. If I felt aggrieved, I'd tell someone to f*ck off too. Refs are clueless sometimes. At times they just don't use common sense. A talking to from the ref would have been adequate, but instead he goes and turns the game on its head and ruins it as a contest. It's getting to the point where you can't make a tackle or even express your emotions. Players are booked for celebrating a goal by taking their shirts off and the like. It's a f*cking joke. If you can't express your emotions on the pitch, then what's the point? Next they'll be issuing cards for spitting on the pitch.

I think due to the position Kuyt is currently being asked to play this may well be his last season. Mind you he constantly licks Rafa in the press so maybe not.

First half:  Poor decision by Reina, defence played decent at best.

Gerrard covered exceptionally well, Torres too.  Alonso wasn't here.

Second Half: Everything before + 10 men and a few other factors.


Bad day and outplayed and away at a big stadium and a man down. 

I still beleive with some real wingers and a strong defense this team can beat Man U.

Nope there is more to it than just new players, I was warming to Rafa again after recent non rotation and good results but today again highlighted the problems, lack of imaginative tactics, persisting with that useless footballer Kuyt and an inability to get the lads fired up for the big premiership matches.

Here is my wish list for the summer, DIC to finally come in with 100% ownership, sack Rafa and get the best manager available and give him sh1tloads of money because we need some serious investment if we are to compete with Chavski, Arsenal and especially Manure.

And be like chelsea? No way sacking rafa is not the answer , i rather we don't win the league then buy it , good hardwork alweays pays off , we're 2 to 3 signings away from a title

Bring in Rugby refs thats what i say, They seem to be coached in the rules of reason and 9/10 get it right.

Let's be brutally honest.

Out of that 11 today, only Mascherano, Gerrard and Torres would stand any chance of getting into there starting 11.

Carragher is class but no better than Ferdinand or Vidic.

Alonso on current form is not any better than Anderson or Carrick.

Ryan Babel looks every bit a forward that is playing out of position.

Absoulte disgrace of a post    carra nt better then rio ok maybe slightly abt his standard , but carra is better then vidic anyday of the year
