If every time that someone who's not the captain tells something to a ref, we'd end up with 7 men every match mate. It's not bias, the ref put a bad standard at the start of the game, and that card was harsh at the least.

Mascherano was telling the ref to "f.uck off" at the beginning of the game. Come on people.

Mascherano should have been sent off. My question is why wasn't Ashley Cole sent off? I don't disagree with the red card, all I want is consistancy.

Having said that Rooney should have had a penalty, Carra didn't get close to that ball in the penalty area which put Rooney off.

The games not over yet, lads.....

I donno what happenned with Masch but it looked really stupid... Would love to know what he said to the ref but tbh it looks like he's got it in for us.

But lets focus on the game and keep the analysis till after the match......

C'mon you red men!!! It's not over yet.

It was obvious that the refs were gonna be sensitive to gobbing off after what happened with the Chelsea/Spurs game... Rafa should have laid down the law with the players about it.

Sorry, have to agree, he lost it and deserved to go. He was obviously frustrated by the referee refusing to book any Man U players but it's not excuse. He is young and will learn but what I think  is more worrying is that Gerrard was nowhere to be seen. The captain should have nipped it in the bud before it became the problem it did...

Torres moaned that there was no booking for the challenge on him, and got a yellow.

Then Mascha moaned about Torres' yellow, and got one himself.

We only have ourselves to blame. Idiots.

Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

Fook, the game as a competition is gone now...
With a ref like that.
It's 10 vs 12 now. There is no way we can get a sniff of chance now.

exactly....he deserved to go and was lucky to make it this far. Mascherano needs to grow up.

It was obvious this ref was going to do something stupid hence my earlier post that we needed to clam down - and that Mascher would walk.

Sick as a dog.

Babel off, Crouch on I say.

u'd mad babel looks our liveliest player

No need to panic straight away as all he needs do is drop Gerrard back. I still feel if we can calm down we can get something out of this

come on

ferguson started this and looked what has happen where was the protection in that build up to that sending off

like rooney has been doing all game?

Rooney has not complained anywhere near as much as Mascherano. Masch was getting mouthy and involved for NO reason. If he would've just kept his mouth shut he would not even have a yellow.

torres was given no protection and if that was ronaldo , the ref will be giving him a kelvar and armour and posssb a few cards , torres got the freekick questioned the ref and got a yellow card
