Has Kuyt made any attempt on goal this game? I was under the impression he was bought as a goal scorer?

well there was his header that was just cleared off the line



or does that not count because it's kuyt.

some of the criticism aimed at kuyt on here is ridiculous

Good on the lad but I'm looking at number of goals scored not runs round the field.

My sons footie team plays  like that - run up and down the field like loonies but never score. They have fun so.....

Yea I agree the criticism that Kuyt recieves in here is simply beyond ridiculous.. he was by far the better striker out on the pitch today.

Vassell offered more than Kuyt

I love the character of Dirk, but at the end of day we need forwards to score goals .... he aint a natural goal scorer, feel sorry for the lad to be honest ..

My point is... Kuyt was better than Torres today in terms of link up play and so on. Torres was hugely ineffective.

mascharano was our man of the match by miles.We must do our best to keep him he is class.

Both Gerrard and Torres never played that well today but Benitez should of realized the game was there for the taking and brought Babel on alot sooner.

Kuyt is useless, I don't know why he has lost so much speed, he wasn't that slow last season,.
Benayoun needs to pass the ball, he is too selfish a lot of times, didn't even bother look up to see where his team mates are.
