They screwed him over bigtime with club and country. He deserves a good compensation for that. He was a beast vs Dortmund and whoes knows maybe could've madeca difference.

Yes... I'm ***** off for us and for him... we probably wouldn't have capitulated that badly against seville if he was commanding the back line... and he is in danger of missing out on his country's Euro win...

I agree Mags, once again UEFA (and FIFA) show they are completely incapable of running their own affairs. Don't forget they held the final in a totally unsuitable stadium.

WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) haven't ruled out appealing the Sakho decision, not sure if this is because they fear getting the ar$es sued off them, but seems a bit strange

Wada has the right of appeal and, asked whether it planned to exercise that right, a spokesman told Telegraph Sport: “We are awaiting the reasoned decision as it relates to this one.”

Reading that it's no wonder Sakho and the club are livid.

What's our legal standing in this situation? Sakho has been cleared yet we were left to get by without him for the Europa final

I am really not sure tbh mate, WADA could simply be posturing to avoid 'potential' legal action against them from LFC & Sakho, as far as i can see there is no legal precedent set for this, unless somebody more informed on sports doping law wishes to comment

All I hope is that he doesn't get banned again and is free to play

To add to Mama's woes, it turns out he will be out for upto 4 weeks with a heel injury

That doesn't sound good, this preseason will be crucial for us for the coming season, and having senior players miss out on it is not good news, even if they're back for the starting fixture of the season. I'd actually rather have them miss a game or two than have them injured in preseason.

Re Sakho, now that he has been cleared, surely there must be a way for us/him to sue whoever was responsible for the ban. Not only they might have costed us the EL final, they screwed Mama big time by not allowing him to play for his country in the Euros.

Our new number 3

Call me old fashioned, but I far prefer seeing the first 11 wearing shirts 1 to 11, like Karius number 1, Sakho number 3, Coutinho number 10 etc....

I agree.
1-11 made more sense and players had to fight for the shirt.
Now they're given a number and know it's theirs by right!
