Not exactly confident, I'm still having nighmaters after the Burnley game. We've put in some poor performances last season [against Soton, Birmingham, Palace,etc..] but Burnley was the worst.

We did have some youngsters, but no execuse for that kind of performance. I don't think we had a shot on target let a lone a chance of scoring.

I hope that Traore doesn't play against Luton.

Luton Manager Newell (former Liverpool player) had vouched to win against Liverpool or at least draw and come to Anfield. Its going to be a very tight match. Luton had not lost on last 4 Liverpool's visit to Kenilworth Road.

I am very sure Rafa will play a serious squad with some good young players to gain experience. Full throtle.

Carson
Finnan
Carrager
Baragan
Warnock
Riise
Garcia
Hamman
Gerrard
Crouch
Ciise

Sub

Mellor
(as he ahs recovered from his injury and played for the reserve squad recently, so he will have 5 minutes or so)

Kewell
( he has been Rafa's choice of the month, so I dont expect him to be left out)

Sissoko/Alonso
(To come in and seal the score)

Lets give JC, Sami, Stevie G, Alonso and Crouch a well-earned rest.

Go for:

                                                   Carson

Kromkamp (If possible)  New CB/Roque                Hobbs                       Warnock

                                                    Hamann
Sissoko                                                                                      Riise

                                        Garcia                Kewell

                                                   Mori/Cisse.

I know some of you will bemoan the defence, but this team is easily stronger than anything Luton can throw at us, and at the end of the day the FA cup is our lowest priority this season.

I'd think about putting Sissoko in the middle and giving Barragan a run on the right if his injury has cleared up yet.

Luton have concede 39 goals this season so far with 11 in the last seven matches.  A good opportunity to bag a hatful!

Play the best 11, because Luton will not make it easy for us. They will surely be fired-up and will fight for every ball like hungry terriers.

During Kenny's time as manager, we used to hate getting there as they have an awful astroturf pitch which Liverpool simply hated playing on. We lost 3-0 in 1986/87 in an FA Cup tie when we went there as holders.

Totally agree with Derjimi at CB, giving Hyypia a rest.
Gerrard could do with a rest too.

I'd be happy with this team.

No, players have earned and deserved a break at this stage of the season especially after the xmas period of games, we have some really big games coming up

cant help thinking this is a potential banana  skin waiting to happen,i hope major lessons have been learned from last season.I would play our strongest team for the first half in the hope of getting a couple of goals then make changed there after.

Went to my old school. As did Sammy Lee.
Now there's a bit of useless info.
