Our best player by far is Reina. Lucas was and is a poor player. That just improved from Terrible to beareble...

Your an idiot.

hmm well that's your opinion man.

I would say that from what i saw the last 2 games ,Lucas was ok. Managed to keep himself out of foul trouble near the box and was pretty much in control, nothing spectecular but ok.

here's another :

Why is it some LFC fans can't see how good he is while others (more objective mind) can???

Don't worry...You are pretty harmless lads...We are all LFC fans and i don't get my Ego altered by someone that for all i know is 15 year old writing from his mother's basement.  :)

My only advice for people is addressing the argument rather then the writer...BTW a lot of my sayings are shared by others which are maybe less vocal in their posting.

He played one game pre season and two games in the league so far.We won 2 and drew one and conceded 1.

Before he came back in pre season we conceded 15 goals in 5 games.

That could be just coincidence but i think we can draw a conclusion from that.

Against Sunderland he wasnt the best out there but he did ok.He was great first half and like everyone was below average second half.

Against Arsenal he was Brilliant.Sat in front of the back four pasing the ball quickly and efficiently.Won alot of aerial battles. He gave away a few fouls although thats what happens with holding midfielders. He create the assist for meireles for the second. He also got a man sent off for the other team which won us the game indirectly..

Now tell me how average or bad he is.We are 5th in the league with 4 points from 6.Onwards and upwards and the last thing im thinking about is how good or bad lucas is playing. He just keeps doing his thing ,usually unnoticed but effective

Mr Sideways is always going tp be average imo when compared to his predecessors.
He will never be close to Alonso or Masch.
He is pretty good at protecting the back 4 but he is slow which makes him do stipdi fouls around the box and get turned inside out by players like Nasri.
My biggest gripe though is that he offeres 0 going forward. As soon as he gets over the halfway line he passes it sideways or back and practically never make any forward runs with or withour the ball.
Good although one deminsional but never ever will he be world class.

yeah - I remember all the amazing passes Mascherano used to make, he was SO creative!!

get real - Lucas is part of a team, his job is to break up play, he then passes it to someone who's strength is passing.  Seems like a good team player to me.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

I dont understand why people give him such a hard time.  The guy has proved himself last season (and probably the one before).  Mud sticks I suppose!

It looks like he might get a slightly easier ride now as the new player to give a hard time to is Andy Carroll or Charlie Adam.

Amazing  :no

sigh, how can you even compare masch with Lucas... :no

Sure, Masch like Lucas never made defense splitting passes and offered just as little offensivly as Lucas.
BUT Masch was better in every other department than Lucas.
He was so much faster, a much better tackler, a real leader on the pitch. He could put a player in his back pocket for a game and keep him there. He was world class as a dm.

Lucas... not even close. His job is to break up play and he is decent at it. Because of his lock of pace he will easliy be turned away by the better player in the league causing him to take clumsy fouls.
