Carragher

Finnan

Xabi Alonso

Josemi

Kewell no question

Dunno

Southampton no question

Gerrard vs. Middlesbrough

I think we'll come 4th - I expect top 3

4/5 mainly because he won us the champions league and not 5/5 because we came 5th in the Premiership.

1) Who has been the best player at Liverpool this season?

Carragher

2) Who has been the most improved player at Liverpool this season?

I'd say Biscan, with Traore a close second. Finnan has always been good.

3) Who has been the best signing made by Liverpool this season?

Alonso, Carson second (one for the future)

4) Who has been the worst signing made by Liverpool this season?

Pellerino

5) Who seriously under-achieved this season?

Kewell, Baros

6) What was the best team performance of the season?

5-0 vs WBA :nod

7) What was the worst team performance of the season?

Southampton away

8) What was the best goal scored by a Liverpool player this season?

Garcia vs Juve 1st leg

9) What are your expectations for next season?

Top 3 and a better away record

10) How would you rate Benitez's performance in his first season?

Already a legend, but there are still some things to improve (away form, 4-5-1). 7/10

6,First leg against Juventus.(The final was obviously the better result but for much of the game our performance was poor)
7,Tempted to go for the game against Burnley but considering what was at stake the points lost against Southampton was one of the worst performances ever by LFC.
8,Garcia's wonder strike against Juventus.
9,Solid performances in the premiership with at least a comfortable top 3 finish.:D
10,Excellent but winning the Champions League has probably protected him from more severe criticism over our performance in the permiership .

Agree almost entirely with that.  :)

Josemi, the worst signing for me.

Going out to Burnley with Traore's terrible OG was the worst performance - they actually deservedly beat us.

Kewell was the biggsest underachiever - given his undoubted ability.

The first half of the first leg against Juve, when we overran them, was our highlight and the 2nd goal from Garcia was a thing of beauty.

I like to see us compete with the 'big three' next year, and although there will be major squad changes again this summer we need to be more consistent.

Spot on about Benitez as well.

1) Jamie Carragher (a man all professional players should look up to in terms of attitude and commitment.

2) Steve Finnan (has really come along in this season, one of the best in his position in the country IMO.

3) Xabi Alonso (Outstanding player who will only improve, my tip for next years PFA player of the year.

4) Antonio Nunez (what does he offer? simply average at everything)

5) Harry Kewell (i think most will agree on this one)

6) Either the 2 - 1 victory over Arsenal at home, or Juventus 2 -1 quarter final 1st leg win at home.

7) Southampton away, when we lost 2 - 0, absolutley awful performance by every liverpool player on the pitch, losing comfoprtably to the then bottom placed team.

8) Steven Gerrard vs Boro at Anfield, what a strike! better than Rooney's volley imo.

9) Comfortable top four finish with a huge reduction in the points gap on the top three.

10) European champions, carling cup runners up and 5th in the league i think most mangers would accept that in their first season in charge :D seriously though he has taken us back to the promised land by winning the champions league, surely this will push the club on to greater things and i sincerly believe Benitez is the man to do it.

2) Finnan or Biscan
3) Alonso
4) Nunez
5) Kewell as usual
6) Juve Home
7) southampton

9) Top three and not too far behind on points from the top. Good run un the FA cup (win it?) and knockout stages of the CL (Who knows what can happen from there)
10) Excellent in Europe. Needs to work on consistency away from home in th PL but definetly the man for the job. Brilliant manager. I have no doubt he will get it right in the PL

best player -  Carragher

most improved player - Finnan

best signing - garcia. would be Alonso, but due to injury he has made less impact than garcia this season.

worst signing - Pellegrino (free), josemi otherwise

under-achiever - who else? Kewell

best team performance - home against arsenal

worst team performance of the season - palace away

best goal scored this season - Neil Mellor against arsenal

expectations for next season - quality signings with impact. any cup win (cl again? that'll be massive!! :) ) + top three finish and pip downfall manure + close race to second with @rse (make @rsene eat his words would be fantastic).

How would you rate Benitez's performance in his first season? - the right man for building a dynasty. very good start and its gonna get better! transfer market: 7/10 (josemi, pelle, owen saga); tactical acument -8/10 (brilliant in europe, erratic domestically; developing players: 9/10 (who'd ever imagine the likes of biscan and traore blossoming?; composure: 10/10 (learn maurinho, learn!)
