Well those who think the league challenge isn't over could go onto Betfair and take the 29/1 which is available as of now. I'd probably wait though, we are a bigger price than 29/1 as of now in my opinion and I would have thought that by the time the dust has settled somebody will lay you 40's, and even that isn't value IMHO. I think that given our run-in, sensibly we need to take a bit of stock as of now and do whatever we need to to ensure we finish fourth at the very least. If I was a betting man (and I am a bit) I would have thought that's probably as good as we can realistically hope for as of now. I hope people don't just lump that analysis into the "doomer and gloomer" category, I think it is a realistic assessment of where we are.

Please try to remember the lessons of history, and cast your minds back to the days when the drunken tramp was facing the sack at the skip. it didn't happen, they persevered and that sack of shi te club is now the dominant force in this country. Sacking managers because you aren't making the progress you want fast enough is going to put our club back five years while the new boss arranges everything his way, and then gets sacked just before HE gets it right.
I aint saying Raffa isn't making mistakes, but I am saying he's the expert appointed by the club and I'd like to see a bit more faith and trust in him meself from me fellow Redmen.
Let's see who he buys in the January transfer window and personally, I'd like to see a couple of our reserve team get a few more starting chances, especially now we appear to have bollixed up winning the league.
To end on a positive note, there's still the Champions League to win and we last did it with a far less efficient and skillful squad than the one we have now, so should be a piece of :censored: I reckon. :;):

Were not going anywhere, the signings havnt improved are overall standings and the way it looks its guna get worse with Everton right up are :censored:, i can see us fighting for a champions league spot for next year soon.

We dont have decent enough players to with the title, look at the top 3, all of there midfiled players look like scoring in all of there games, there overall game is alot better then ours, we have specialist midfielders who appear to be to scared to go for goal, i think Steve Finnan did more with the ball in the midfield then Alonso, Kewell, Masch, Pennant (Im not saying they were all poor because they wasnt) its there will to attack thats missing.

Liverpools Midfield Goals In prem (Other then Stevie G)

Kewell - 0
Leiva - 0
Macherano - 0
Pennant - 0
Sissoko - 1
Alonso - 2
Benayoun - 2
Babel - 3

It just isnt good enough, and if it wasnt for Torres and Gerrard i really dread to think were we'd be right now....
To get rid of Benitez would be awfull though, he's been fantastic for us. His policy's may not be shining through at the moment but he is one of the best.

You've a short memory, son. Three years ago, Rafa delivered us arguably the greatest night in this clubs history. I will always remember him for it, and so long as he manages our team, he will always have my support even if is difficult to fathom at times.

I'll bet three years ago you were shouting his name about the place like he was God or something. Now all people like you do is moan because he's not making much progress in the league. NEWS FLASH: we've been struggling for 14 years in the league before he came.

Yes but that doesnt mean Rafa gets unlimitied time.  This is his 4th season.  How long do u wanna give him before we actually challenge for the title.  All I wanted this season was to be in the race for the title.  Think back to the summer and all the talk of us fighting for the title and arsenal fighting for 4th with spurs. That talk looks real stupid now.

If we finish 4th is that acceptable?  Do we now see this as a success.

Even when were unbeaten I wasnt happy as the style of football was a joke.  Now we are losing there is no positives other than torres fitting in so quickly.

Our squad isnt that great yet our manager seems to think he has enough quality players to rotate the side.  Its madness.

Don’t know why Crouch didn’t start today, our second best striker has just come back from a 3 game suspension and is probably chomping at the bit but has to settle for a place on the bench while we play 1 worn out striker up top at home against one of the worst teams in the league.

Sometimes Rafa just sets himself up with ridiculous decisions.

If we can refind the form that we once had, we can pass Chelsea for sure

lost to Reading & Marseille, can't beat the likes of Birmingham, Portsmouth, Wigan, Spurs and only just scrapped past bottom team with an injury time goal...I am beginning to believe that Wigan will never take points off the Top 4, maybe they're right afterall...we just don't look a top 4 outfit anymore if these little teams can come to Anfield and left with more point(s) than in their wildest dream

No doubt Steve Bruce is in our changing rooms now masterbating with a stupid smug grin on his face watching Bramble's goal over and over again saying, "Yessssss, I took two points of the dirty bin dippers again. Yeeesssssssss!", before blowing his muck all over one of the player's towels.

I'd love to push that nose in just a little further

Rafa on the radio saying we need luck and we were creating chances.

Asked about the league he said we will take one game at a time.

Dodged the question
