Unfortunately was working today, and gutted when I checked the results.  0-0 with Stoke FFS!

Despite this 2 points dropped, having watched match of the day there and seeing the amount of clear cut chances we created, I feel slightly better.  25 shots and dominated possession.  Stoke were lucky, very lucky.

This isn't a Birmingham of last season, we put out probably our strongest team and battered them.  It was just not our day.  You get freak results like this.

Of course I didn't see the game though, which probably would have frustrated me even more, and watching MOTD doesn't tell the whole story I know.  Let's forget about it and move on.

Actually I think on this occasion the highlights on MOTD summed up the match very well. Stoke were lucky, however they did defend very well and Liverpool forgot to bring there shooting boots. Agree totally though. Match is done so lets move on.

our defence was untroubled john, even skrtel moved forward ALOT of times. Its one of those days that our strike force isn't hitting top form and so we miss alot of chances.

Its one of those days that our strike force isn't hitting top form and so we miss alot of chances.

and hey if everyone gets a card or gets banned for foul language then we'd only end up with BigMick and Nani discussing rotation and the takeover all day long..

Your first sentence is too harsh on our players IMO. I am not talking about players scoring (although that always helps) I am talking about our players not having the game intelligence to create chances rather than hoping for a 20 yarder from Gerrard, a bit of individual brilliance from Torres or a knee from Kuyt. Most of our chances today came from hit and hope crosses or they were from outside the box.

I know what you will say next, you will say that the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manc have won the league with that type of player, a second creative striker, and the last time we had that type of player was back when we had Stjohn, Keegan, Dalglish, Beardsley since Beardsley we haven't had one and we haven't won the league since.
