LIVERPOOL VS PORTSMOUTH - Wednesday 29th october 20.00pm ko

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I suppose you could say it's a good time to play them as they don't have a manager at the moment. Nevertheless it's important to get the 3 points and keep the momentum going.

I think we may see Babel and Benayoun start this one. Absolutely no point in risking Torres unless he's 100% fit.

2-0.

The league game after we beat utd, we drew 0-0 at home to stoke. Take nothing for granted. Dispite Portsmouth just losing their manager, they still have a good team and a dangerous strike force in crouch and defoe (9 league goals between them so far). It will be a difficult game.

I still think we will win, but these days its never a fore-gone conclusion - even if we are high on confidence.

Will be good to see crouch back at anifeld. I like the lad and hope he does well, hes a good honest hardworking footballer and seems a good guy. You need as many people like that at a club, unfortunately he wasnt good enough realy, which is a shame.

I think it will be a good time to play them... but they will definately pose a threat. If we beat them i may start gettin a little to over excited becasue these are the games that in the past we would struggle with.

I hope keane is fully fit to play because I think this will be a good game for him. Bable looked good yesterday, he frustrates me because hes so hit n miss, maybe hes concentrating on his rapping haha Would like to see him given a chance of a full game on Wednesday tho, although we still need to bed riera in, who looks good, so i duno where he would play im? down the right? upfrot? im not sure..... anythoughts!

Same again for me .... same team, same formation as against Chelsea, and hopefully the same result as last season. Bring Torres on to get a little run out once we are comfortably infront. If Gerrard or Kuyt need a rest take them off after the third goal goes in.

I am feeling quite confident  :D

yeh id like to see him given a chance up top... but then again we need to play keane and kuyt as much as pos. Its uncertain but the way i see it is that rafa has a lot of options with players and formation and thats without torres, things look swell :D

Gotta keep winning games like these.

Put them to the sword and dont pick up any injuries

we won this game last year and I expect the same this time around. 3:1 to the reds

Walk on:)
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

is that the same Riera that looks like he's wore the red shirt for 10 years and can take the whole world on?

Riera is good enough - end of.  :nod

happy times
