Fair play to spurs and Harry.

Thank God he worked his magic at the Emerates and not at Anfield :D

Im quite happy that Arsenal drew with Spurs. They were talking about some comments that Fabrega made in Loaded or Nuts about how even the Arsenal girls could get a point of Spurs at the moment. I know there is rivalry being North London clubs but that is a bit disrespectful. And they even had a stats showdown on SSN? Have that kunts.

I just hope Spurs ran themselves ragged and have nothing left for the weekend.

Reina - 7 - Distribution was generally very good, not much to do
Arbeloa - 7 - A couple of mistakes but couple of nice things as well
Carragher - 7 Easy Job but did nothing wrong
Hyypia - 8 - Kept Crouch quite, nearly scored and won the penalty (MOM)
Aurelio - 7 -Barely sighted apart from his one shot on goal
Alonso - 7 - Generally controlled the midfield
Lucas - 7 -Did his job
Babel - 8 - Coped a few knocks but was probably our most dangerous player on attack
Gerrard- 8 - Picked out some ripper passes, close to MOM
Pennant - 6 - Was fairly anonymous
Kyut - 7- Was solid in a tough role but didn't take the most of his chances

Subs:
Riera -7- Not a lot of game time but we looked more dangerous when he came on.
Keane - N/A
Benayoun -6- Soft as a marshmallow, pushed off the ball to easily.  Couple of nice runs, one he should have scored from.

A bit generous there DanAn , knock them all down by 1 and they are fair enough though mate.

i agree.
you have the general who played well who didn't correct but just all a little too high.

at least we are not 6 ahead of arsenal 3 ahead of chelsea still and if united win there game in hand stil 5 ahead of them.

Come on RedMen time for spurs!

Against lesser teams we have to push much harder for that early goal when teams don't decide to park the bus entirely.  The longer the game goes on 0-0 the higher the chances of them doing so are.  We have to aim at a goal within 25 minutes imo.

Gerrard was head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch, he drove us forward and created most of our openings, of which there were few.

I'm absolutely over the moon with the result, but I feel relieved more than anything else. I didn't like the line up from the beginning. There was no real need for Lucas to play. Gerrard and Alonso probably would've sufficed in the middle, and Keane or Benayoun could've played up top alongside one another or alongside Kuyt (who had a bad game I thought). I didn't think Babel offered much at all in the way of cutting edge either and often came inside, on the other side, Pennant was very poor, did nothing.

Fairly sound at the back bar the odd moment where we failed to pick up players in the box.

Overall, the intensity wasn't there, the balance wasn't there, and Gerrard pretty much carried us to victory; one which didn't look like coming in all honesty.
