sorry mate ... you are wrong.

if we draw and turks win there are 3 teams with 8 and turks with 9.
in that case, we check games between those 3 teams : and it is still tied ( 5 point each).
so we go to goal difference in the 3 team group.

pool is with +2
frogs with 0
porto with -2

Fookin uefa, it seems my gcse maths is no longer enough, just signing up to a maths degree  :(  why not keep it simple and just let us go thru  :D

reality is we gota beat the froggies  :sniffle

Somethings wrong Sabre, its saying both links are for the first half mate.

My fault, I'll edit the second link right now

Second Half

The quality is not great, it will take a couple of hours to get a quality release, but at least you can hear the atmosphere well

Thanks for that mate, my son will be made up as he had to work tonight.

Marseilles are a very poor side at this level, yes they caught us out but i cant see it happenin again and considering theyve got to come out and play i think this will suit us. Away forms been great, lets face it if we cant beet this lot in a must win game for both then we dont deserve to go through.But we will because we do.

It doesnt go stright to goal diffrence, as Marsaille would win by away goals rule. We have to get an away goal if Besiktas would beat porto

just to try and make this clearer

so, Liverpool can qualify with just a draw, but its really complicated

if Porto lose to Besiktas there is a type of order for 2nd place (Besiktas get first), it goes by head to head, which goes by

Liverpool > porto > Marseille > Liverpool etc

so its a chain. Which means it goes to goal diffrence? No, it goes to away goals. What does that mean? It means if liverpool draw, as long as we score a goal (anything but 0-0) we would advance by goal diffrence OR away goals.

The frogs must be cacking themselves after watching us score 12 in our last 2 matches. I had a good feeling about tonight. The game against the frogs should be memorable.

sorry lad, i think i am still right ...  :D

The finishing order in the group phase is determined for each group as follows:
a. greater number of points obtained in all the group matches;
b. greater number of points from the matches between tied teams;
c. goal difference resulting from matches between tied teams;
d. greater number of goals scored in the matches between tied teams;
e. greater number of away goals scored in the matches between tied teams;
f. goal difference in all group matches;
g. greater number of goals scored in all group matches;
i. Co-efficient points of club and association over last 5 seasons
we are tied at a (8 points each)
we are tied at b (5 points each)
but we are first (from those 3) at c : we are +2 even if we draw 0-0

away goals are just in tie breaker e .....

you might be right :D

a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question, (b) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question

so if we draw, we win by goal diffrence thanks to the porto match

I suppose its as perverse as saying it doesn't work when we fail to win, however well we played. :;):

It sits over the entrance tunnel where the players walk out onto the pitch.

Touching it gives a LFC player magical powers.

Its a sign love that is just above the entrance to the pitch most of our players reach up and touch it as they go onto the pitch tonight Rafa stopped just for a second and reached up and touched it with both hands.  GOD BLESS RAFA :bowdown

only if Besitas win AND we draw

If the game would have finished 1-1 we would pretty much still be in the same position, needing a win in France because I can't see anything but a Porto win over the Turks.

Bill Shankly popped it up there to unnerve the opposition and to remind them where they are !
