nah if we draw, and Besiktas win, that will mean Besiktas an Marsaille will go through right, as Besiktas will then be on 9 points and us Porto and Marsaille will be on 8.. BUT seein as Marsaille beat us at home they will go through.. am i wrong?

The format has for ages been that teams with same points are NOT decided by goal difference but head-to-head...therefore we cannot draw with Marseille, only a win will do. If only the Turks drew with Mars tonite then we could have gone thru with a draw as that would have put porto out had they lost their final game. So we must win

Try an evening class in common sense fella....if we finish on same points as Frogs they go thru coz they beat us and we would only have drawn with them...

if we draw and turks win there are 3 teams with 8 and turks with 9.
in that case, we check games between those 3 teams : and it is still tied ( 5 point each).
so we go to goal difference in the 3 team group.

pool is with +2
frogs with 0
porto with -2

Newcastle beat Marseille.

Why Newcastle?

It doesnt go stright to goal diffrence, as Marsaille would win by away goals rule. We have to get an away goal if Besiktas would beat porto
