LIVERPOOL VS MANCHESTER CITY - Sunday 22nd February 15.00pm ko

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Greavesie » Sun Feb 22, 2009 6:02 pm

We do have a lot of sh!t in the squad its true. I thought after 5 years of Rafa we'd have a squad boasting class players in every position
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

you are :censored: mad if you think Rafa is not to blame for this.

i agree too, Rafa IS to blame for ths. The whole Keane embressement, the public rants and the awful summer signings...all are down to Raffa

Who's to blame then? Rafas wife?

Of course he's to blame, it's his team and his tactics.

Buck stops with the manager.

its frustrating as all :censored:

manure now 7 points clear

it doesnt feel good at all.....

but keep ur chins up and i hope with stevie G coming back the lads will keep their chins up too and play better

we have to keep faith things are looking bleak and its easy to say that manure has the title in the bag.....

yeah they have a better playing list and the form they are in they are on a roll etc etc

theres still 12 games to go in PL

keep the faith the belief

we dont know what could happen

just pray manure get injuries, red cards, in all the comps they are still in and lose confidence by losing in europe

we can only hope and be positive

bloody all fingers crossed

Alot of money spent, and we still have no depth to the squad.

I would turn to players Like Hammil and Pacheco to put on the bench.

Ok he takes some blame of course but against a team with one of the worst away record our squad should have been good enough to beat them.

Did we play badly? I don't think so. Had enough chances to score more than two goals. Plenty of possession. Defended well. Lacked a bit of creativity.

There is nothing majorly wrong with the team and how we play. We're just short of one or two really class flair players. Then again, do we have 60 million to buy those world class flair players? No.

Thats the sign of a mid-table side when you cant even win your home games.

I remember only in Nov-Dec when we were 8 points clear.

Garbage.

Im getting the Gerard Houllier kind of feeling now about Rafa. New manager maybe....

Stop defending the man.  Poor defensive formations, poor signings, too much rotation. He is not above criticism.

The way we are plying and struggle to score or create, we could finish 4th again.

Get Mourhinio in. At least he knows how to win, buy the right players, right attacking formations and winning formality.

If we do fail to continue this challenge i would have to admit this has probably been the easier titles mannure could win..
Just hope we push them all the way also would like chelsea to do well get back in the race dont want this to be an easy ride for mannure..

Best line up would be what ace has mentioned few posts above. Main thing is lets win this match get it over and done with and have our stars back for boro..

mate we aint winning title this year you know , I know it , Rafa knows it (hence why he is making the great escape).

HELLO !!!  :shifty

I go back to me earlyer point...

What now ?

Play madrid that are 6-0 up at half time and in form of there life.

Rafa playing for CL I think so its the one thing he can win that will give him a job back in spain.

to be honest, if Real offered us a load of cash to buy Rafa's contract, i'd be tempted. Its been 5 years and i don't think we're any closer to winning the league.
