Not been back long. Felt proud to be a Red again today. Nothing to do with the performance but the way the crowd clapped their goals and the standing ovations afforded to their substitutes and the Havant & Waterlooville team at the end of the game. There was a time when this was the best run club in the game, streets ahead when it came to conducting ourselves at all levels, players, coach's and boardroom. Well that might not be the case anymore but the fans are still a class above :bowdown

Yeah that was a wonderful gesture from the supporters. They even applauded when they went in front for the second time. Class.

if that's true, its the only positive of the game

Certainly not, just giving my opinion on a forum, that's what we're all here for isn't it.

Well, let's see Bamaga Man:

Thinkpad says Mascherano's not worth the money.  Lakes and Red Blood think it's not good enough when you beat a team 5-2 and move on in the competition.  Jedwards has proclaimed Skrtel sh!te after one game and several people are having a pop at a guy who managed to score a hattrick to make sure we advanced today.  Unadultered w.ank is precisely what it is and I've said so, which last time I checked was still something I could do on here, Mod or not.  Don't like it?  Do one.  :glare:

This has got to be the first time I've ever read that 5-2 isn't a good win...

You'd think that we'd lost, reading the sh*te on here... :no

Come on Lando the first half performance was terrible, its just not about winning. Sometimes its good to see a great performance, and lets not forget we were playing against a team of part-timers, it was pretty embarrising out there out times.

I haven't moaned and groaned Lando, but to be fair to those who have, its not like we were 3-0 up and coasting only to lose a couple of goals (which would be embarrassing but understandable), we were losing at home to a bunch of part-timers, not once but twice.

I never thought we were in any real danger of losing (even after such a terrible first half) but to be honest the result flattered us, we could have been 2-0 down early on, and Crouches goal came in the last minute.

As I have said before, it was great for Havant, and they will have memories to last a lifetime, but for us it was hardly a game to treasure mate.

Au contraire - it IS about winning. And that's exactly what we did.

What i don't get is this:

Why is it ok to coast into a lead, then lose 2 goals, but it's not ok for us to go behind twice, then have (and show) the character to come from behind and tw*t them?

The mind boggles, it really does...
