SKRTEL HANDED FULL DEBUT VERSUS HAVANT

Martin Skrtel will make his full debut alongside stand-in skipper Sami Hyypia against Havant and Waterlooville on Saturday afternoon.
Meanwhile, Ryan Babel partners Peter Crouch up-front.

The Liverpool team in full is: Itandje, Finnan, Riise, Hyypia, Skrtel, Mascherano, Lucas, Benayoun, Pennant, Crouch, Babel.

Subs: Martin, Carragher, Kuyt, Gerrard, Torres

WTF...Thats taking a big chance and asking for a shock to happen.

He has all the experience on the bench, he can call on them if things don't go according to plan. I can't see past a stroll in the park and I fancy Babel or Crouch to get a hatrick today.

I like the look of the team it has balance, strength, pace and creativity, should be a good game.

yes the team has the team it has balance, strength, pace and creativity but and its a big but, they have not played together that much and when they do we are :censored:.

we are letting them have a chance, they will be well up for this game , its a once in a lifetime thing.

we will still win with this team but it might only be 3-0 and not the 7-1 i was looking for.

The Mascherano and Lucas partnership is one that I am desperate to see out of curiosity. Lucas is supposedly a more dominant central midfielder who plays box to box, but like Gerrard, he can only truly do that with someone like Mascherano alongside him.

Even though this is against very week opposition it will still be interesting to see the Mascherano and Lucas paring.

Might have to look around for a better one today, as I think with it not being on sky it may get too popular.

why the FUCCCK would carra gerrard and tores be on the bench. this doesnt make any sense, either start the game with them and take them off or don't put them in the squad at all.  If Leto can't get a game against a BLUE SQUARE FCKING SOUTH team then he could NEVER be trusted to play against anyone, same goes with under 20 world cup winner Insua. Something to do at half-time (the link to the survey, not the story)?

Fast start and a couple of early goals, then we can relax and really play some good attacking football. I would like to see Lucas really take control of the game today.
