Rob Styles has always been a card happy ref and today was no different. The fella has cost us two points because he isn't capable of reffereeing any football match. The fella is useless.

Good performance from the lads and before hand I'd of thought a point was a good result but we deserved to win.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Wilhelmsson wrote:I’m completely furious, but not overly surprised Chelsea managed to get a point out of the match. I have a few points I would like to get off of my chest.

1) Its about time referees and linesmen were accountable of their decisions. Rob Styles should consider a career somewhere else, because that has to be the worst display of refereeing I have witnessed.

If Managers are accountable for the team they are in charge, players are accountable for their performances and conduct, and then referees should be accountable and open to scrutiny.

Rob’s two terrible decisions completely changed the complexion and outcome of what was to a large extent a Liverpool dominated match.

2) Kuyt seems ineffective; I don’t usually single out criticism for a player, but Kuyt seems to me to be little more than a work horse, there doesn’t seem to be an end product with his work ethic.

3) The team still isn’t scoring enough goals, if the team had converted the chances wasted then the atrocious penalty decision wouldn’t have made any difference to the outcome of the match. If the players aren’t converting chances, then these types of decisions will cost us points.

There are some positives, the team didn’t lose today, there is a game in hand for the team to go out and collect three points.

Four points from the first two matches isn’t something to begrudge, the matches have been two challenging games to play in quick succession and the team has shown a lot of character and improvement. The test now is to carry on performing as the team has done in the two matches and build the momentum.

The Gerrard and Alonso partnership seems to be flourishing, I would have liked Mascherano to have played a part in the team, he would have bossed the Chelsea midfield and maybe the pendulum would have remained in Liverpool’s favour.

Today was disappointing, but the season has just begun, the team has gotten two challenging matches out of the way now and can focus on picking up more points against ‘lesser’ teams. I’m not letting today put a dampener on what has been an impressive start to the season.

Spot on post. We got ripped off, yes, and maybe we should have burried our chances. Still, let's not take away the injustice that just happened here. Had the ref allowed a flowing game, then we would have certainly been comfortable winners. My first post on this thread just shows what I knew was goign to happen after seeing the first 20 minutes of the game. I've seen it too many times before. We're all over a top 4 team that wee absolutely need to beat, only for the ref to get other ideas into his head. Honestly, if I didn't know any better, I'd say the conspiracies against us are all true. That is two points lost that could cost us at the end of the season. This has to stop, or we have no chance in hell of winning the title.

very gutted, I thought we did really well but we still lack quality up front. Torres took his goal really well, he looks quality, but kuyt was p!ss poor today.

Gerrard was outstanding, Riise did pretty well before he came off and i thought alonso was composed, although he lost the ball a couple of times.

The problem with Torres is that he did make some sloppy passes in the second half, but he is fast and can dribble and good on the ball.

Mikel- is a f*cking tw@t, did you see him aim a kick on gerrard? did the ref miss that? sure gerrard deserve a yellow card for that challenge, but Mikel deserved something more! f*cking tw@t!

Rob Styles - Shame, really shame.

BTW....have to give pennant credit. He was a livewire. I reckon we could have won the game (even against 12 men.........styles) if rafa had brought on babel for riise and crouch for either torres or kuyt. Pennant should have stayed on...as he was creating more and more chances as the game went on.

Pennant is our best RW and he should start more of our games..

Referees should be held accountable for the decisions they make and should be docked their match fee if they f uck it up big time . Also I would like to see them in a press conference after the game to explain the decisions they make. Rob is an appropriate mane for that cunt. He even booked essien twice and never sent the twat off.  :veryangry  :veryangry  :veryangry  :veryangry
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

torres was great but a little sloppy he just needs someone very quick to keep up with him and get onto his passes

Just as Pennant was getting into the game Rafa brought him off, ah well, managers live and die by their dicisions.

3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

yup agreed with that and posted the same comments earlier... torres shouldn't be subsituted though...actually i would go voronin for kuyt... crouch usually doesn't make much impact if comes on as sub...

Docked the match fee ? Refs get paid penuts..so that won't make the best punishment....he should be barred from refereeing ...period.
