Fernando Morientes is back in the squad for tomorrow's game with Blackburn after recovering from a hamstring injury. Harry Kewell and Jerzy Dudek are still sidelined.

Blackburn aren't gonna be easy however I think we'll come away with a 2-0 win. Cisse to get one hopefully.  :buttrock

Please !! Let it be the breaking point in our EPL campaign !! A good win, couple of goals and the lads will be far more confident.

I have a feeling we'll brush Blackburn aside today, 2-0 comfortable win.

                              Reina

Finnan            Carra        Hyypia               Warnock

Garcia          Sissoko       Alonso               Zenden

                  Crouch        Cisse

I'm not Cisse's biggest fan, but we have to play 2 up front today and Cisse is our best option alongside Crouch at the moment.

Gerrard's not been great for us recently so we'll not miss him so much I don't think.  Give Zenden a chance to impress, he can't be any worse than Riise's been in the last few games.

Get Warnock back in, I've had enough of Traore to be honest, I just don't trust him.

I'm looking forward to todays game. I expect Xabi to play a blinder today - he seems to raise his game when Gerrard is not playing.
I think JohnCraig's team selection is spot on, I only hope Rafa thinks the same.

That team's absolutely spot on John - just what I had in mind.

Gerrard's injury might be a blessin in disguise and will enable the team to revert to 4-4-2.

Reina
Finnan      Cara             Hyypia     Warnock

Pongolle    Sissoko      Alonso        Riise

              Crouch      Cisse

The only difference would be the flanks for me, I think it would be justifiable to drop Garcia today after recent displays.Maybe bring him on later in the game if there is not enough invention going forward.I would stay with Riise on the left simply coz Zenden seems about as much use as a chocolate tea pot at the minute.
In saying this ,this is the selection I would like to see ,and I highly doubt Rafa will play this team.

Cisse should start and hopefully score a goal or two.  This team needs the confidence.
