Possibly because of his dreadful performance in midweek?

Its nice to see Rafa not pick him just because he was £21m, his performance midweek was lethargic at best.

Still though against Birmingham he could easily get a few goals. Im sure he will play some part.

So why did he pick about 8 others from tuesday night ? Their performances where no better Rafa. Only Reina and Kuyt showed much on Tuesday night.
