didnt log on last night and cant be bothered to read the rest of the thread yet, but the fact remains it was obvious again that birmingham had decided to defended deep, so rafa decided to keep our biggest goal threat on the bench for one hour, and then expect him to change the game.

get a grip rafa for sake, now you are just being stubborn persisiting with this tactic that does not work, three years and no league titles tells us it doesnt work, 21 points adrift tells us it doesnt work and the last 3 games with a team lacking in confidence and looking like strangers tells us it doesnt work.

I almost feel bad We seem to have ruined a great percentage of Brit's week.

IMHO I do believe that our Defence isn't getting the credit it deserves, yes you were pants and made completely the wrong selection, most neutrals could see that, but Our back 4 was awesome again today. But The Press, being the Press.. will gloss over that on MoTD, in the NOTW etc etc. But we're not bothered we're used to it.

I just have no idea where these results will pull of against you (in the league, 7-0 don't count) come from. We just seem to be the ultimate bogey team. I'm struggling to decide which of our reuslts was best.

2-2 in 2002 was awesome, good ol' Clint. 2-1 the same season at St Andys. Daz Anderton's winner in 2004/5, 1-1 at Anfield 2006, 2 all in 2005. Abit strange seeing as we often lose to Southend and such on Tuesday nights.

Anyway good luck with the season, I genuinely hope you trounce the Chelsea farce and those bogots at Old Trafford. Arsenal/Liverpool Title race, that's what the neutrals want.

Without seeing the match or any of the highlights, I know right away that this is one of the most sensible posts I've seen in this thread all day.

You have to give credit to the away team if they did indeed defend well. How many times have we done it when we're being battered about the pitch by better teams on the day? Yeah, that's right - lots. Especially under Houllier, so we can't complain if a so called lesser team does it and knicks a point. Fair play.

We can't blame Rafa (as he fielded a very capable side) and we can't blame the players (as from what I heard, they huffed and puffed and couldn't blow the Birmingham brick wall down). Just one of them days.

Oh, sh*t, but I forgot. Our league challenge is over, right?

Rafa did no wrong did he, well how about spending £26 million on a striker and not playing him when he's fit?? If I was one of the owners I'd be dragging Rafa into the board room and demanding to know why we spent all that money on a fit player who isn't getting played, it's completely insane.
