Quaresma and Mancini would have made us a team capable of winning the league.

Babel and Benayoun I'm afraid are not good enough for such a feat.

Benayoun is proven Premiership class player.

Babel is young and naive.

Mancini and Quaresma - there is no way you can know that they would ever make it in the Premiership so thats a pretty brave statement.

i live in Portugal and see all games of Quaresma, he is the best winger of the world!!!

Quaresma need adapt in premiership, i believe that he can do this in a year.

(Torres need adapt in premiership too.)

Quaresma > Babel, Yosy and Pennant together

Agree about Quaresma......I like pennant and all, but Quaresma will be a deffo improvement over pennant.

But the problem today is not about RW.....its LW. We are too focused on attacking on our RW... it seems so predictable.

I have said it before, babel ain't a LW. Benayoun will do a better job at LW, then babel ever will. But that is just a stop-gap measure. We need a "real-quality" LW.... We already have one...but he spends more time in the treatment room nowdays.

A fit kewell on the left with a on-form pennant on the right would have stretched apart birmingham.

...i believe that Rise is the best LW (L) in the team, and Pennant in the ®,

About Babel, he is young and can adapt (RW to LW). Ronaldo in Portugal (Sporting) was Striker, after RW, and now is LW.

i'm fed up with our lazy dope fans who are incapable of spotting
weakness in the team.

the bookies and rival fans could see liverpool are not capable of winning the league, but for the 17th year in a row our fans delude themselves.

we are not going to get lucky and stumble our way to winning the league.its been 17 years and we have not got lucky in that time.

liverpool does not have a pattern of play that the players can follow with their eyes closed.

if you look at us when we are on form its instinctive football rather than play from the training ground.

when you watch arsenal they have a way of playing,and no matter who comes in the play remains the same.

sometimes you watch liverpool and they don't have a clue or idea in their head and end up with the cheesy ball back to their own half.

there is also a laziness in the team and an unwillingness to help team mates out.

its a case of give it to the winger and let him do it all on his own ,rather than giving him options if he can't.

"hey give it to gerard he'll rampage up the field he don't need options". no wonder the team is tired and has to be rotated.

just let the bloody ball do the work like at arsenhole and man-who-nited.

if i watch kuyt run around like a headless chicken again ,i swear i'll lose the plot.

kuyt has talent and is fully committed to liverpool which is why he runs so much, but lets face it he is not going to become world class
from just running all over the place. we need to develop his pattern of play that always breaks down around the box.

we need a special coach to improve the players rather than rafas tactics.

tactics ain't going to improve young talents ,we will justy end up ruining them and moving them on like pongole.

to me i can't see much difference between  babel and pongole,i would even say pongole offered more.

i'm getting the impression these guys came to liverpool to improve
but are shocked at the coaching.

you hear the players talk about rafas tactics but you never hear anybody talking about him improving them as a player.

i'm glad gerard did not come to the rescue to cover up the cracks.

gerard should adding the final touches to a great team like ronaldinio did at barcelona but instead he's alway having to rescue us.

even though gerard scored more goals under borenitez i think his play was much better under houlier.

i don't think benitez treating gerard like his little kid has improved gerard.

i've tried to think fair about rafa and his achievements at liverpool
but his arrogance is winding me up.

if he left the only thing that would be affected is the champions league. i think a capello could come in and  do better than him.

there is no point getting rid of rafa and bringing in  shrimps like
houlier,evans and souness.

the gerard i remember under houlier is a guy who is the best crosser in the world ,can dribble and his shooting technique could not be matched and was alway on target.

the guy i see now is somebody who has forgotten his technique
and shoot mostly over the bar.

in the old days you knew if gerard lined up a long range shot it would be in or very close.

these days he looks like he is hoping rather than being precise
i don't think borenitez has improved him, gerard was a great player before that clown came with his agenda.

the same goes for alonso his techniqu has gone down hill.

Well what a shite performance today.

This has nothing to do with rotation because I expect the team that played to win.

For me, we missed Alonso and the rest of the players didn't perform.

If you want to blame someone, blame the players not Rafa. That team should have won because there was enough quality there to beat a team like Birmingham.

Let's also face it, we don't have a clue what to do when a team puts everyone behind the ball.

Everyone calm down. I'm disappointed too but alot of people are going over the top.

Sorry to say this but Benitez has improved Liverpool FC massivly since he arrived, I'm not in the best of moods with him at the moment after the last few games I think a few of his decision have been awfull

However.......

He is the best damn manager we have had in years and we WILL end up getting more MAJOR honours with him at the helm.  There are a fair few behind the scenes and player problems which have not helped these last few games and I'm sure once these are out of the way, we will see the prowess, skill and determination we saw at the beggining of the season come right back.

Also before you start compairing how great Houlier was to Benny just look at the transfers made and how many heart attacks Benny has had, thats proof in itself he's better.

Dont get me wrong I dont think any single Liverpool fan is happy over the last 3 games, its just some are still believing and this is the main thing everyone is arguing about, some have lost faith, some havent, its like a holy war ready to happen lol, in all honesty I thought with this new team we would win the league this season, now, I have changed my mind, the players need to gel more before we have a chance of winning the Premiership, I believe next years season will be the time when we really shine, this season I think will be inconsistant.

Some good points made there, just the one thing I don't agree with as highlighted. Hopefully that was tongue in cheek and there should have been a smiley emmoticon of some sort there ?

I don't think the condition of their health should come into a discussion regarding who is the better manager as I am sure that if god forbid Rafa suffers the same health scare as Houlier did it will not put him in the same managerial skill bracket !

Love him or hate him he orchestrated a lot of  success in his time at Liverpool and I think he deserves a bit of respect for that.
