I don't think it is a knee jerk reaction. Foul or no foul, we should have wrapped that game up in the first half.

Ninguém pára o Benfica allez oh!!

Let's see in two weeks, a tough game up ahead, but hey, let's face it, tonight L'pool didn't do enough to win, so in Anfield you'll see how to defend without conceding any.

He's a lightweight and too much of a coward for the Premiership. And he's a cheating B*stard.

Simao is a player that is just good in Portugal. Outside he is nothing

I'm not unduly concerned. It was a lucky win for Benfica.

Their crowd was amazing and were the 12th man in the final ten minutes.

A warm reception at Anfield and a sustained pressure from us in the first 20 minutes in the return will see them buckle.

what we really need is a quality creative RM, to combine with Gerrad and Xabi or a creative CM and stick SG out right, cause we are not creating enough chances for our strikers.

You make about as much sense as leaving your trailing leg in the path of a John Arne Riise piledriver.

Shut your man-pleaser.

Yes but you forget that we are the comeback kings.

We have been in this situation before, in fact worse than this. Benfica are nothing special. Their fans are fickle. 'Hell' did not scare me at all tonight. All it was was their fans whistling.

When they come to Anfield they will feel the power of the European Champions, not only the players but the fans.

The old problem comes to mind....we can't score!

I don't know what happened to the LFC that wouldn't give Man Utd the ball on Saturday....we looked like a team in Panic!

I can only blame Rafael Benitez for tonights result. I feel he made far too many changes.

Why on earth drop hamann when he played so well versus the scum. and start Garcia?

No Crouch???   GArcia ??? . Morientes played and no Cisse!

I think the pace of the game, just made us panic! what was all this hoofing the ball around? esp when we retained it so well versus man utd.

could have gone either way as no team really had any chances.

Carra was MOM  by far, 9 out of ten for me.

If they score at anfield, now, we could be in the preverbial..Sh*t. I personally am worried.Beacause then we will need to score 3 ! Not because we got beat. but beacause scoring any goals at all has been a major problem.

i hate it when Rafa makes so many changes, starting hamann and sissoko would have been sufficient.

Adios
