For crying out loud we got a well derseved point in a game once again we totaly dominated ,an should of won but yet once again the sniping starts.

yes and I'm sure we are all very relieved to get lucky with a soft penalty to earn a point instead of taking a game by the scruff of the neck and dominating it to the extent of actually converting some good chances and winning by a few goals.
It's clear we have a different definition of domination, domination in my book is what Spurs did to us in the last 20 minutes at WHL, it is not what we did to Atletico tonight!
Anyway please tell me Nanny if you agreed with Keane getting taken off?

Thought Gerrard had one of his poorer games tonight , but there you go . I think athletico are a pretty decent side , so i'm happy with the draw. Yet again we dominated and didn't take our chances . There you go though , we've got to move on to the weekend . By the way me mate who went the match texted me and said he was told at the game that Torres wont be fit for the weekend . That was the buzz going round the ground anyway . We'll see i suppose ,but we are missing him and need his finishing to get some momentum again .

we didnt play well !
Only reason we 'dominated' was because Atletico sat a little deeper in the second half to shut us down knowing we didnt pose much threat going forward anyways.. it worked pretty well towards the end with us hoofing the ball and crossing it with little purpose and intent. We got lucky and i think its fair to criticize the team and tactics after such a dissapointing display !

They should have had 2 penalties for handballs (mascherano and carragher, both way more obvious than both our handball penalty shouts) and our penalty was never a penalty in a million years...

We were fckin poor in every area of the pitch and saying that our fullbacks were probably the bet performers today kind of says it all really..

Rafa got it all wrong again today with the subs and the one man upfront setup but we got lucky yet again !
Need Torres back asap because atm, we'r a poor poor side with no attacking threat whatsoever !

Riera in the 4-2-3-1 goes missing and defo doesnt get the best out of him... same with gerrard, alonso, keane, pennant..etc...
need to start playing to our strengths and for now that would be going back to a 2man upfront setup..

We are a poor poor side,sitting top of the League.
We have beaten UTD,Chelsea(away) and won in probably the biggest derby in Europe(away) as well.We have 10 points out of 12 in the C/L and are a certainty to qualify!

god forbid u come out and give a sensible assesment of the game once in a while...

while the manutd and chelsea wins were huge for us i dont think that changes the fact that we'r a poor side going forward one bit.. chelsea game we played well but wouldnt go as far as saying we attacked welll.. manutd game was won by 2 lucky goals so dont see howw that makes us such a great side going forward either... pretty much every game we played 1 striker upfront when torres wasnt available we'v struggled to score and more often than not it was bringing  a second striker and a winger to play very wide that saved us games... but then again i wouldnt expect u to notice anything !

And when have I ever said we should win after every game?A draw was a fair result tonight.They scored a well made and taken goal on the counter and we dominated them for about 90% of the game!

We are not a great side going forward?Ok well maybe not..but just now!We have the best striker on the planet on his way back to fitness and the fella that was bought to support him,who's confidence is shot to shi'te working his rear off.If Torres can make it back in time for December and him and Keane can both stay fit there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that given a few weeks you wont be saying"we are sh'te going forward"
Yeah we miss Torres but thats the way it is,any team in the world would miss him!
Have to say well done to Atletico tonight,especially their defenders and the guy that kept getting back from M/F(sorry dont know their names)

I watched the match, Liverpool are very lucky to get the pen. Rafa should played more attacking football rather than played one striker again.

i think its just a matter of expectations and obviously some are very pleased with a draw at home with half decent chances here and there and the lucky and undeserved penalty at the end was pretty much the icing on their cake...
roll on the weekend this whole discussion is pretty tiring and is obviously going nowhere !

Yep cause he done all. weve never really seen this young lad play so would it have been a different story on here if the lad had scored.

We played well tonight we just finished poorly .three chances for agger , two for keane , couple for ngog , couple more for gerrard . If a team plays explain how they create so many chances ? We just didnt finish well enough but got the point we more than deserved .

Dominating a game and Winning a game are two different things ! We obviously didn't play well enough to win this one.
Lots of steadfast defending, controlled midfield build up and at times some pretty football we're all on show but finishing ?  nowhere to be seen .

I dont understand why we miss so many chances, surely we do training on how to stick a ball in a net, that is the aim of the game after all

Don't want too get carried away with my disappointment , no complaints about our defence or midfield BUT in the final third, in terms of clinical finishing, we're looking distinctly clueless.

£20 million for Keane ? do me a f'ucking favour ,It's time he stepped up to the plate instead of just dipping his hand into it

What ive noticed with the team is when it is clear we are getting nothing from the forwards the midfield and defence push forward more and have long shots themselves. And out of them all tonight Carraghers was the best effort.

With Keane, I agree to an extent but he is low on confidence and it was a daft move to put him up front on his own. Why didnt he try Kuyt up front with Keane on the right side of midfield with the two swapping positions during the match or indeed when we were on top of the game with Atletico bombing the ball forward just switch to 4-4-2? Keane needs to start shooting more but rafa also must consider the circumstances regarding tactics and players.
