We better pick this up this weekend can't afford another questionable performance.  Doesn't matter how many chances we get no goals until a dodgy penalty = no good and a loss of confidence especially in the league.  Must win this weekend no draw please.  Edit:  Didn't wanna come off unsatisfied or anything this draw is enough but we must win saturday.

They should have had 2 penalties for handballs (mascherano and carragher, both way more obvious than both our handball penalty shouts) and our penalty was never a penalty in a million years...

We were fckin poor in every area of the pitch and saying that our fullbacks were probably the bet performers today kind of says it all really..

Rafa got it all wrong again today with the subs and the one man upfront setup but we got lucky yet again !
Need Torres back asap because atm, we'r a poor poor side with no attacking threat whatsoever !

Riera in the 4-2-3-1 goes missing and defo doesnt get the best out of him... same with gerrard, alonso, keane, pennant..etc...
need to start playing to our strengths and for now that would be going back to a 2man upfront setup..

You should get an award for being the most consistent shi'te talker on this board!

We have beaten UTD,Chelsea(away) and won in probably the biggest derby in Europe(away) as well.We have 10 points out of 12 in the C/L and are a certainty to qualify!

yea and we looked brilliant...

anyways yet another dissapointing display of boring football..
no creativity, no flair, no individual brilliance, just a bunch of robots passing the ball around and crossing it hoping for the best...

gerrard shouldnt be playing that attacking midfielder role if we wanna play a lone striker cause having mascherano and alonso behind him is just too negative and out right boring to be honest... kuyt down the right, left, or center is a weakness.. etc etc

i fully expect benitez to play this same formation yet and again this season (to my frustration be it) but all i can say is... our movement off the ball is very poor and thats why we'll always struggle to break down teams playing 1 man alone upfront...

back to the game... mascherano should have come off early on in the second half with benny or pennant coming on and Kuyt going upfront to partner Keane..Keane shouldnt have been taken off..especially not for a kid who cant even get a game when our 2 front men arent available..

Arbeloa has impressed in the past few games and he seems to be going forward more and more in recent games which is always good... Agger isnt the best of centerbacks around and id rather play hyypia instead of him every day of the week...hes very good going forward... one of the best at doing that but still hasnt convinced coming back from the injury in the center.....

I think the more dangerous today, was Agger. Thats say all.

I would have been P!ssed to have drew the game like that too mate, but these things happen in football.

you looked very organized today, you deserved something from the game.

MH sometimes I think you sniff glue instead of drinking a few beers mate!
We totally dominated that match and were more than worth the point.Of course ya do have to pay Atletico some respect because they defended excellently and for that i feel they deserved something from the game.But LFC deserved a point,we played some lovely football tonight.
Should have played 4-4-2 from the start though,but thats hindsight
for ya!

We should have played with a bit more aggression and attacking intent from the off tonight. We let them settle and paid for it.

I'm not going to bash keane, he will come good, however I do think that the 4-5-1 system doesnt bring the best out of him, he needs a natural goalscorer infront him that would compliment him, i.e torres

overall think a draw was right result , we may of deserved to just nick it but happy with draw . They could of had two penalties and to be fair they should but so should we along with the tight one we got . Thought full backs did well . Agger looking good again . Xabi was very good . Some of his passing world class . Kuyt had a poor game . Reira so so . Keane did better masher and gerrard did ok . Pepe didnt have a save to make bar the goal . Didnt agree with the keane sub . Forwards were off colour tonight .
