I think we just have to thank our lucky stars tonight. Looked like we were going to get robbed again, so a point is better than nothing. I can't complain about our performance ..... just about our forwards.

Robbie Keane really needs to step it up.

Having said that i wish you the best for the rest of the CL.

Talking about football, i agree with some of you. Dont have a real striker if torres isnt on the pitch.
I think the more dangerous today, was Agger. Thats say all.

We deserved the win, anyway 1 point at Anfield is very good too

Ah the relief

Let's concentrate on getting ourselves going again in the league now, still joint top despite that disaster at the weekend, things aren't so bad

Anybody want a sing song?

If you're happy and you know it....

An we deserved a point at least

all about opinions mate although some players seem to be above reproach on here

An Agger is not above critisism were its due but comon mate he had a couple of dodgy moves in his first couple of games back but since then hes been outstanding.

An tonight he was one of our few players who were a goal threat. He played the ball nicely out of defence no panic he dosnt deserve to be critisised tonight imo

the complaint tonight was triggerd by the poor atempt at that header .i didnt see the game against spurs but the games i have seen i think hes been suspect a few times but as i said its only since hes come back from injury and i think hes a quality player.
shamrock rovers and liverpool are not a matter of life and death to me. they are much more important than that.

I would have been P!ssed to have drew the game like that too mate, but these things happen in football.

you looked very organized today, you deserved something from the game.

We were fckin poor in every area of the pitch and saying that our fullbacks were probably the bet performers today kind of says it all really..

Rafa got it all wrong again today with the subs and the one man upfront setup but we got lucky yet again !
Need Torres back asap because atm, we'r a poor poor side with no attacking threat whatsoever !

Riera in the 4-2-3-1 goes missing and defo doesnt get the best out of him... same with gerrard, alonso, keane, pennant..etc...
need to start playing to our strengths and for now that would be going back to a 2man upfront setup..

You should get an award for being the most consistent shi'te talker on this board!

We are a poor poor side, sitting top of the League.
We have beaten UTD,Chelsea(away) and won in probably the biggest derby in Europe(away) as well.We have 10 points out of 12 in the C/L and are a certainty to qualify!

Not bad for a "poor poor side"
We are far from polished and excellent but who do we aspire to be?
Chelsea that got beat 3-1 by Roma tonight?

s@int wrote:I thought we played well tonight, just couldnt find a final ball or finish when we did. We were easily the better side we just needed a striker. They defended well , but we still had numerous chances to score.

I was thinking about this throughout the whole match.  We've gotten by fairly without Torres but it seems like the time has run out.  Kuyt can't be expected to carry the load and it seems like the rest of the bunch are all pressing a bit too hard and are sort of choking away the chances.

Stevie's chance in the second half seemed a bit rushed and rather clumsy.  Agger's header was a clear shank. Ngog, nevermind.

My point is this team needs Torres back, and at full health.  Obvious I know.  But there are always some that will say, "Well, we beat Mancs and Chelsea without Torres."

Sure you can get away with it once in a while, but it doesn't mean that he isn't needed.  Today's match was the perfect example.  For a team that played ultra conservative, The Reds were too easy to defend.  Lacking creativity and flow, poor first touches (everyone was guilty of this), not enough bite up front.

I just hope when Torres does come back he can ease the burden on Kuyt Keane and Gerrard, open  up some more space and be the fabulous striker he can be.  If he suffers another setback then it could be a long winter.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

4-5-1 doesnt work with keane or kuyt as lone strikers.
