I like Mascherano but dont want a really big fee spent on him.  We need more players who can win games. More flair and guile!!

I have to agree with that. Mascherano is a great player but for the figures being mentioned,i'd much rather put that towards a top quality winger in the Ronaldo, Robben mould. Now this isn't easy, as players like that don't grow on trees and there is competition for them and they come at a price, but it has to be a priority. If we have enough in the coffers then i'd love to keep Mascherano.

How can you say that? I think Kuyt played well but unfortunately Zendens gone so I guess we need someone else to blame when we dont win eh.

1 goal in open play all season?

Kuit is deadwood.

And so is Kewell.

They both played miserably and destroyed many Lfc opportunities. They both lack pace and are not helping out in defence or attack. They offer no goal threath and no defensive cover. Playing Kuit and Kewell and still getting one point is fantastic. I dont think no other 9 players + Kuit and Kewell can win one point in the premiership.

you are stating the obvious fact. Why rafa cant see that is beyond me. Crouch was on the field for a few mins and he scored. Rafa needs head checking

Since we are being heretical and talking about dropping Stevie, is anyone else frustrated when Carra boots the ball into the middle of the pitch. He seems to do that a lot, or is it me?

A lot going on behind the scenes is clearly having a huge effect on the player!Saying that we cannot blame the yanks for everything.

Benitez set out a team tonight that looked pretty balanced but when i looked at it from the off i said to myself that there was not enough of a goal threat!
The way our luck has been lately we need to be having players that can score in more positions.Basically i think Raffa should have started with Crouch rather than Kuyt.Kuyt is fast becoming one of our worst signings in history, not only cant he shoot but he gives the ball away too often.I dont buy this he works hard shi.te to be honest theres probably better players working hard for Tesco.Should be out the door hes bl.oody awful.
Secondly Rafa should have had Babel on instead of Kewell..Babel can score and has proven he has a good eye for goal given the chance!

We were also poor at the back  for both their goals which is unlike us..im fu.cking gutted!
Theres also the fact that a lot of players just are not trying and have no passion atal!

We cant just blame Rafa or just the Yanks or just the players..Sadly its a combination of all three! :(

I really like Mascherano but we dont seem to have loads of money and like u said the figures mentioned seem awfully high when we need to improve in other area's.

It really doesnt matter we all think about Kuyt as Rafa is impressed with his work.  Kuyt can do no wrong!!

This team is full of quality in my opinion and I lay the blame firmly with Rafa. I have a lot of time for Rafa and think he's been f.ucked over by the yanks but he must take complete responsibility for being a clueless coach/trainer. He has taken a team capable of winning/challenging for the title and made them play like complete strangers. They seem to lack ideas and confidence for huge chunks of games. They seem to be confused and restricted my Rafas 'tactical genious' methods. The terrible irony is I would welcome a manager right now who would instill confidence and freedom into the team such as Klinsmann! I hate to say it but I honestly believe that (biting my tongue as I say it) Fergie and certainly Wenger would win the league with our squad :(
