Kuyt has got a lot of stick on here lately - from me included - but it was a brilliant pass for the goal.

Credit were credit is due.

Lawro said tonight he had been talking to someone very very high up at Anfield and they told him he will have to learn Arabic

I havent had much time for Lawro the past 5 years or so, but his Liverpool colours have come through in this whole sorry episode and he has spoken in the highest reguard of Rafa and the club.

hes still a tw@t when he is with Motson though :D

Kuyt has been an improvement in fairness. Aurelio and Kewell have not. So far anyway.

Need a second and its goodnight.

hi lads, im in Africa watching the continents show piece and just had the opportunity of watching my team first half performance. i have heard on numerous occassions that villa have played badly, and i think that is an understatement; we have actually frustrated villa tactically. the key to this is the way kuyt is playing, and for me he has been the main man in the first half. Well done Redman, and on a side note wishing Zimbabwe well in the Nations Cup

I didn't think Kewell had that bad a half (shows what I know ) I thought he showed some good touches and made some good passes. He just looks to have lost his pace.
