Or perhaps it's the "Lawrenson Effect" where any match he attends turns boring because of him?

Half Time

Apart from the goal its been a poor match so far, Villa have been really bad, their passing has been crap and they haven't shown anything going forward.

We have been okay so far apart from the final ball but a lot of the game has been played in midfield.

We are going to have to get another one to put this to bed.

We controlled the first half but we created very few real chances. Masch , Gerrard and Hyypia all played well, Benayoun, Kuyt and Aurelio not so well. Torres needs to see more of the ball second half.

My prayer dor 2nd half: remove Kewell from the pitch

He has been absolutely shocking.

Nice control in midfield by Gerrard/Mascherano. Another MoM by Masch if he keeps it up in second half. Villa is in trouble because they can not get ball in midfield.

Im watching the game on sopcast, looking good. Need to keep the ball a little bit better though. Fabio Aurellio and Harry Kewell are the main to culprites. Need a second to bank, then we can afford to play a little more attackive. I can see Javier getting booked in the early stages of the 2nd half so i dont think Alonso will have to wait that long. Dirk Kuyt is having a good game (well better the he has been), playing more like a midfielder though. Torres needs to be fed alittle more. I wouldnt mind if another midfielder scored the 2nd though to be honest.

Great performance from the lads they are working their bollox off well in, need another goal settle the nerves.
I dont want to speak to soon but yesterday watching the bitters who where absolutly sh!te BTW how the feck are we on level points with that kind of dross?

Kop have been fantastic banners are boss.

We've been ok first half. Kuyt has been linking up well.

Watching on TVU channel 65264 and was treated to the playboy channel at halftime
